Not sure I’m still riding out the last 3 weeks on Disney. I think they told me it was $2 but honestly I’d pay $15, I can’t fucking stand the ads.
I'd like some money back now that we have fewer channels These fuckers raise rates when they get new channels but when we lose them, nothing happens.
Should I just go back to cable? I can get it with no contract. Streaming was more attractive when it was cheaper. But I can go back to cable bundled with internet for cheaper than YTTV and internet
When I switched ATT gave me their basic tier + internet for cheaper than internet by itself, so I still saved by doing that and getting YTTV. I only use YTTV though since the basic tier is like 10 channels non-HD.
Im back to using an antenna and a friends login for ESPN or Fox Sports if there’s a game I want to watch that’s not on a network channel. Cable is about the same at YTTV at this point and doesn’t have the stream delay, so I’d go with that.
Assuming you live in Omaha, and if not disregard, Century Link internet and YTTV are better in regards to performance/cost than anything else I've been able to find in that market. By a significant margin.
Damn. I had that issue up until earlier this year, but then they installed fiber everywhere. We live south of the Med Center between Leavenworth and Center. If you do get access to it, it's super worth it.
Agreed with everyone on the channel and price fluctuations, seemingly almost constant now. Not too pleased with the business side over the last year or two. However, YTTV has the best hard product imo Video player/interface Wide app and OS support Video quality* excepting 4k. Smart Integrations for those into Google ecosystem (Android TV, Google Assistant/voice control, etc) Not exactly sure on streaming limits and DVR storage, but I've never had a problem and am a bonafide power user on Saturdays in the fall.
Relatively new YTTV user. I was trying to watch Duke-VT through the ESPN app and got a message that I needed to re-authenticate. So I logged out of YTTV as my cable provider in the ESPN app but when I go to log in again and get to entering YTTV credentials I get a YTTV error message that "an unhandled error has occurred." Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this? It's happening across all of my devices when I try to add YTTV as my cable provider on ESPN. YTTV itself is working fine for me. Edit: Resolved itself.
You can quad box ESPN broadcasts with Apple TV through the app. Also YTTV doesn't carry the SEC Alt as a channel.
That was me, last night. I use a chromecast on another tv for anything else: Fox, etc outside of the Disney umbrella. YTTV probably shows SEC Alt during a game, right.... then goes away when offline? or was it not listed there in any way? I had MSST-ARK on via ESPN multiview, so never checked myself.
Anyone else have issues with abc on YouTubeTV? The sound has been off for a few weeks, but only on abc. It’s really really strange and annoying
Yeah I emailed them to see what’s up. Googling around there does seem to have been some issues specific to local ABCs, although nothing exactly like what I’m dealing with. Fortunately I have it via antenna, but it then makes it difficult to switch back and forth.
i've had some audio issues with it, but it's not really any specific channel. i just change to another channel, and go back, and it's fine.
Worst thing about cutting the cable -- I used to could switch channels in half a second. Now I'm closing this app and opening this one and it takes longer than the commercial break itself
https://help.hulu.com/s/article/sinclair-rsn?language=en_US Hulu dropping fox sports channels as well
Not sure if it's for everyone with YTTV or not but looks like I've got Showtime and epix for free through 11/2. YMMV.
Could be for everyone...got an email that billed it as a free weekend preview. Like the old cable days, used to get hyped as fuck as a kid when we'd get that HBO preview weekend and would record as many movies as possible. /old
Interesting... I work in this industry and will be interesting to see if anyone picks that up or what happens with Fox RSNs.
Both YouTube and YouTube TV are down right now. Don't think that's ever happened before. I'm putting my money on fucking Russian hackers.
