I've been getting into the "emo" rap stuff lately. Juice WRLD, Lil Uzi Vert, etc. This is one of my favorite tracks right now:
I've listened to this track maybe 10 times today. Kendrick is a mythical entity and Busta is still Busta

Guys, let us not forget that Mike and Jamie dropped a fucking gem of an album this year. RTJ4 has probably 3 of my favorite songs this year ooh la la Just And A Few Words For The Firing Squad gives me chills every time I hear it.
It's either RTJ4 or Burden of Proof for my favorite album of the year, at least through this point. Ju$t is my favorite track on the album, but Yankee and the Brave grows on me with every listen and I could see that overtaking Ju$t at some point.
Spilligion and RTJ4 are my favs this year. Anybody listen to the new Goodie yet? I'm in the mountains around a camp fire so I got Chris Stapleton's new on instead.
Little too anti vaxx/ Bill Gates covid chips for me but the raps are tight and 3k and BB shine on their features
I don’t look at circles or spilligion as rap albums but they are probably both top 3-5 for me this year. Circles was incredible and I think since it dropped in January people forget that. Rap- Benny and Conway neck and neck at the top with Freddie and RTJ jusssst below. Miles by blu and exile deserves heavy mentions
Don't really agree about Spilligion, there are some amazing rap verses on it. But I get where you're coming from, it's so different. Do agree about Miles though, great stuff. H.A.R.D may be just a level below these but it's solid throughout with a touch of nostalgia.
yeah he definitely would. feel like we've talked about this before, but Marcberg was lowkey one of the more influential hip-hop albums in a minute and dude, his verse on that Snow Remix still gives me chills
Damn, Jeremih is on a ventilator in ICU, reportedly has a ‘bleak’ prognosis, and his condition is said to have worsened
My buddy dropped an album today and it’s nice. Hip Hop soul vibes. Give it a spin if you guys can. On all platforms. https://music.apple.com/us/album/dressed-for-the-tiny-desk/1540435125

Rap album Grammy noms are surprisingly good that being said, circles not getting any nominations is an absolute travesty
They've been getting better the past couple of years since the nominations are chosen solely by those immersed in hip-hop, when I think it used to be the whole general Grammy voting population that decided them. If that were still the case, no way that guys like Freddie or Royce get nominated, someone like Cordae getting nominated last year, or Pusha-T being nominated for Daytona. Would like to see either Freddie or Royce win it, but since this goes to the general Grammy voters at this point, I feel like Nas will win because he has the biggest name among the finalists. The Weeknd not being nominated for anything in his categories, either for the album or Blinding Lights (since that song was everywhere), surprised the hell out of me.
