“Not so overpriced”? Costs have gone through the roof, prices haven’t, and restaurants are more than ever living on paper thing margins. And it’s not as simple as “the best ones will survive”. Some menus don’t work with takeout, some restaurants have shitty landlords, some owners depended on tips (that they rightly earned by working on the floor) to pay themselves a salary that the restaurant couldn’t afford to, etc. Doesn’t seem like anything will re-open until February at the earliest. That’s gonna hurt.
i am glad you responded, I was talking out of my ass. And I personally know a few chefs and restaurant owners, this is a nightmare. Sorry man, this is a terrible time.
I'm not sure even my artisanal, free range, vegan, gluten free cucumber water is bougie enough to pair with that meal.
I just ate avocado toasts(the bread was made from a palm tree in Venezuela) and I sprinkled the toasts with black chocolate made from some blind kids from Calgary

Komst Borscht time. Not the most presentable of soups out there for a pic but absolutely delicious & nutritious. First time putting the giblets in the soup and they are like little prizes if you ladle one in your bowl.
Catching up on this thread made me crave some poutine, so went out to get cheese curds, and postponed the salad I had planned to tomorrow night. W/ Caramelized onions and homemade gravy.
Working on a new turkey recipe for the holiday, hope it turns out ok. Spoiler The bird finally realized the gravity of his situation. Spoiler
If I could like this multiple times, I would. Congrats on the little man. We did the same thing to ours last year
That is awesome. My wife just said “awe, we should have used a smaller pot so we could see his rolls.”
Welp I just found my wife’s next photo setup. That’s just fantastic a.tramp. How’s he sleeping? Ours likes to do it in short bursts.
My wife is 100% responsible for every "photo setup". From inside a pumpkin to wrapped up in 500 Christmas lights, she never misses an opportunity
Started adding random shit to shrimp and whatever this is turned out to be elite Cooked shrimp in olive oil and garlic then added sriracha. Then added rice, onions, fresh salsa, onions, more garlic, more sriracha.
Where does one find the Epic broth? I went to the cuntiest grocery store locally to get cheese curds but they did not have it.
I get mine at Sprouts, but Whole Foods has it as well. If you have either of those close by you should be able to find it.
Had arugula salad, jalapeño sausage with black beans & corn bread. Was hungry/tired & didn't feel like snapping pics tonight.
Birthday dinner Duck breast with farotto and escarole with Duvel drink shown and red wine drink not shown
Honestly, I am not sure. I was only getting a glass and went with what the waiter recommended. It was Italian and also hard to hear through the PPE as well. It did pair well though.
Found it at Sprouts. :bartscott: Win or lose, going to enjoy some short rib poutine after the Iowa-PSU game.
Love red wine, but instantaneous headaches, like before I even finish a glass. White wines are okay but would rather drink something else most times. 1-2 times a year I do still partake in a red if a good enough bottle is set in front of me.
