That was asking for the impossible from Felder. Hopefully he gets a nice financial reward for stepping in.
He's still the goat in my eyes. But I'll always wonder how good he could have been if he really put in the work. It seems like he has more for this move to HW.
I'll probably have a write up this week. Got some free time so I'm working on the sheet now. For whoever cares. I'm always one to say you should buy the card, but don't buy this card. It's nowhere near PPV worthy.
I think if you have the means and they present a PPV worthy card, then you should buy it. But this should be an ESPN+ card. Buy rates should be amazingly low.
Yea, and I should buy them but I also know that money doesn't benefit the fighters in any way unless you're Masvidal, Jones, Conor level draw. Dana has enough money already.
I'll try to make it quick. Cosce fight feels like its mostly about getting soem hype for the undefeated up and comer. Palatnikov will hopefully be aggressive and Cosce can get a highlight finish. Daukus wants to grapple, Stoltzfus has had some grappling success but Daukus is much longer so its probably not going to go well. Not gonna totally avoid Stoltzfus exposure in DK even though I'm not willing to bet on him winning. Jouban vs Gooden is the fight we've all seen a billion times. Old timer vs up and comer, but usually these spots are good when the old timer is the dog, not the favorite. Gooden has an athletes chance. I actually watched some of his fights vs horrible competition in lower leagues, he does have some clean strikes and isn't completely lost on the ground, but I expect Jouban to try and keep this standing anyway. Gooden is far from an elite technician, and is more of a showman. Will probably bet on Gooden to win but its definitely not a Gold star triple x lock of the week. Dalby vs Rodriguez... Have seen some pros saying don't count Dalby out. Eh I'm gonna go with the guy who's career is gaining momentum instead of the guy who's clawing to hold onto some semblance of a career. Antonina Shevchenko vs Ariane lipski. If lipski wants to stand things will be bad for her. I wouldn't be suprrised with a boring fight and don't really feel too much value either way. Lean Shevchenko Joaquin Buckley vs Wright. Was surprised that some Wright money came in this week... he is making his ufc debut and is 11-0, but holy shit look at his competition. I have no idea how what he did in "Xplode Fight Series" counts as pro. The combined record of his 5 opponents in that series is 0-55. I actually don't want to believe this, it cant be true, probably some error on Sherdog. Buckley came into the UFC on short notice and almost took out Kevin Holland, but ultimately was KO'd himself. He followed that up with the KO of the year vs Kasanganay. Don't think Wright has the chops to deal with who I believe to be one of the sport's future stars. I love Royval as a fighter, I think there is value on him as a dog whenever he enters the ring in that position, will likely take him. I like Moreno as well, but i don't think him being a -165 favorite is justified. Rua vs Craig... pass. We got an old striker vs a good grappler. Both of them can win through their strenghts, or it can be a stalemate like it was last year when they fought. Katlyn Chookagian vs Cynthia Calvillo. God its easy to hate Chook after her fight last month. Looked timid and was TKO'd via body shots. I think that result is altering the line, but I don't think I can stomach taking her. This is her fifth fight this year. Think shes just trying to make as much money as quickly as possible, good for her. Calvillo is a bulldog and should win. Means vs Perry... Pass. Who tf knows which Mike Perry is walking into that cage. Valentina Shevchenko should win going away. Figueredo vs Perez. I like Perez as a fighter, but Fig is just different for this weight class. I took him to win ITD and win via TKO/KO.
lol I actually wasn’t sure, I haven’t checked the thread in awhile but after my CFB bets today maybe I’ll dabble with some UFC
Well this card is starting with some excitement. Feel like this fight is what i expected except the can Dana brought in is not much of a can at all.
Yeah way too much filler for a main card with 3 fights going the distance.. The free ESPN+ cards have been moving at a great pace during COVID. Barely any filler between fights.
Not making light of his situation, but I think it's fair to say Garbrandt has always suffered from mental fog.
