Even in a sign and trade? Assume Ariza's contract would cover most of that. Its too depressing to think otherwise
What the fuck does that even insinuate? Maybe I'm just too annoyed and am off my game if it's obvious.
Are we reneging on trades we made? Is there a sign-and-trade? Is Blake going to Denver? I have no clue how this shit is even possible.
How does Grant even fit with this roster? And is he really worth what Wood is getting? So many questions that sadly, regardless of the final answers still end with Plumlee being a Piston for the next 3 years
So possible scenario was that Pistons picked up Dedmon to flip to Houston after they realized they messed up guaranteeing Ariza's contract. Then Houston signs Wood and that trade the beat writers were so sure about yesterday is now a stretch contract dump
If we did a S&T for Grant + Plumlee for Blake, isn’t that still bad since they both get three years and Blake just has two left?
So... PG - Rose, Hayes, Lee (2-way?) SG - Mykhailiuk, Hands (2-way?) SF - Grant, Bey, Jackson, Musa, Ariza PF - Griffin, Doumboya, C - Plumlee, Stewart, Bradley, Okafor
Seems much worse. Would be much better off sitting on Griffin and hopefully moving him at the deadline or next offseason.
John Wall wants out of DC. His contract is ass, so maybe if his agent can get a good shop of him wearing stilts, we can get a deal brewing.
I cannot believe I let myself get excited that they were actually going to do this right after the draft. Same old shit, different regime.
Another bad part of this is that these guys will all take minutes from Doum, Bey and Stewart. Hayes is the only young player not getting buried by these moves
A sign and trade would give me much more hope that they actually knew what they were doing. I wouldn't like the deals they gave out to do it, but at least it would signal Grant at the 4 and allow for the potential of at least some kind of spacing. Instead, they're going to start a frontcourt of Grant, Blake and Plumlee, and likely have Rose start at PG. Also, you know who might actually be good on this kind of team? Luke Kennard.
