Vrabel should be grilled tonight in the presser. If we don't cut Gostkowski and keep trotting him out there next week I don't know what to say
Yea its a combo of everything I think. LT is getting absolutely worked, like embarrassingly bad. Drops and then when guys are open hes been off. Just a bad showing all the way around.
No fucking clue. Absolutely should have been booth review and clearly an incompletion not that it mattered but just a clear miss
We’re about to be 1-4 in the past five games and I put the blame on: 60% secondary 20% special teams 10% injuries 5% Tannehill 5% drops
LoL at blaming this skid on him. He's not having a great game by any means today but he's getting 0 help from anyone.
No one said everything was his fault. But he is extremely average and not worth any substantial amount of money
QBs are overpaid in this league. We all know that. It was either pay him or go back to Mariotta purgatory. Him and the offense have been one of the best in the NFL league since he took over as starter.
He is a top 10-15ish QB which you don’t let get away or it sets you back for 4-5 years. He is absolutely worth it. Doesn’t help that our receivers have dick hands every other game.
Not sure it sets you back if you can get a rookie or someone like Cam. But top 15 is average, which is what I said. Just don’t think he will be getting titans over any hump unless Henry goes crazy like last year.
Tannehill carried us in the playoffs all the way to the AFCC... He doesn’t have to be Rodgers. He’s a good fit for our offense. If you want to debate his contract go for it, but the timing/market demanded we sign him. edit: and after years of Mariota he’s pretty beloved by everyone. Might slant our view but it’s good to have a competent QB
That seems like some revisionist history as he was playing alongside the best RB in football on maybe the hottest hot streak ever. also, don’t want to come off as a hater or anything. I grew up in Nashville and we used to own season tickets. Just don’t love him as an option going forward
These are bad takes. Objectively, not my opinion, tannehill had the 9th best QBR last year regular season. He was 4th best in the postseason. He’s 9th best in 2020.
QBR is a meaningless stat and is explained by the success of the running game. So that does it does not disprove my points at all. he obviously had good numbers last year. No one doubts that
QBR is based on EPA and tannehill’s numbers have absolutely nothing to do with Henry’s success. You came into this thread acting like tannehill sucks. Don’t get mad when you get pushback with actual objective data.
I’d say above average, but we’re splitting hairs with a small sample size. My only issue with what you said was the money part. And we pretty much had to pay him.
I’m a fan of a team that is about to have to pay a QB where the jury is still out. So I understand ‘having to pay someone.’ titans still in position to win this game
