We get our share, but we've never really gotten a firm hold on any region in Texas under Saban. Players like Waddle having success and coaches with ties to the region like Scott and Banks have been shifting that a bit (it's obvious Saban has wanted in for a LONG time, but their hires kind of confirmed that) getting guys like Drew Sanders and Jase McClellan last year, but I'd say this current class is far ahead of any others under Saban in terms of the amount of talent we'll get from the state with the Brockermeyer twins, Milroe, and Blackshire. The average fan would likely assume we've been benefiting from Texas talent under Saban's run with "#1 classes", but it hasn't been the case at all until very recently, and even then as you mentioned, some other OOS programs like OSU seem to lean on it/have more success there than we do. Florida has been the backbone for us, honestly.
Yup - we’ve owned Florida, having one of those programs back to prominence would hurt. Have 5 of the top 11 including the #1 player.
IMG kids are not always Florida kids. Latham will spend less than 2 years of his life in Florida. Bama does very well in Florida, especially Dade and the Panhandle, but IMG kids don’t always count
I don’t hate you guys enough for taking Banks you fucking cocksuckers Blackshire is damn good but he scares me because its only a matter of time before his other knee goes out. He’s just too damn big.
You clearly don't know about Mississippi. Those kids over there almost seem brainwashed to stay in state at times. You would think we could raid that state with ease but it's the exact opposite
4 star receiver Tychaun Chapman to UNC I'd be more excited about it if I weren't watching our Orange Bowl hopes withering away at the moment
Gotta admit that I'm rather surprised Jaheim Singletary is picking Ohio State. I reckon the odds of signing him are somewhere around 37%.
