Yeah... the trick is fine a 10 yr label with 15yr product inside. At $70 a bottle that’s hard to complain about.
one of my local bourbon stores has Russell Reserve single barrel and elijah craig small batch. both of those are pretty common correct? but both are very good ? i might have to buy one or both.
Got a bunch of redwood empire at the local shop. Bourbon, Rye, and Lost Monarch. Any worth picking up?
1. Sagamore Spirit Rye. South Jersey Bourbon Drinkers The ATM Machine pick. Fantastic from nose to finish. I don’t drink many ryes and this blew me away. Probably the best I’ve ever had. I’m going to have to savor/ration this one because it’s that good. 9/10 2. Russel’s Reserve Private Barrel Select. Warehouse A. Big fan of RR and this is very good too. Finish isn’t quite what the Sagamore Rye is but still I give it an 8/10. 3. Michter’s 10 2018 sample. Nose is nice. Definitely oakier than the other two but finish is def disappointing but still a solid pour. Not sure id shell out the dough for this if I saw it in the store though. 6.5/10
Appreciation post. Keef cheddarisbetter Guns CoastalOrange This is only for the above tagged individuals initially. If they pass I’ll open it up to anyone. All at my cost + your UPS label. First one up is Old Ezra 7 year barrel proof: $42 + your label
Good reviews. Thank you! The M10 has been open a while so that may be hurting it. It’s towards the end of the bottle. I get so much caramel from the nose which I like.
at that post to like ratio I'll let it slide ;) if they pass it can be yours. so far, 2 out of 4 have passed.
i have a 5ish year old Ezra distillers selection pick that I’m digging considering it was $30. I can only imagine a couple more years and a bump up in proof would improve it tremendously.
Anybody ever tried any Old Dominick? Distillery in Memphis, never tried it, but people say it’s good.
My local store used to always have EHT Bottled in Bond but now for a few years it is never on the shelf. Did they start releasing less of it?
Just about anything Buffalo Trace produces is much harder to come by now than it was a few years ago. They may have decreased the supply marginally in order to supply the more limited/expensive releases but I suspect the lack of easy availability is more due to increased demand.
Keef cheddarisbetter Guns CoastalOrange Blantons FWGS Store pick. 375ml. Box is sealed with the sticker, completely unopened. $37 + your label last one for appreciations!
