Just got a bike. Have take 2 beginner classes with Kendal . Question - does anyone's groin go numb and what do I do to prevent?
Has happened to me just a couple times, once was like my 3rd ride and I was thinking oh great. At least for me, it seems like as I’ve moved on to the rides that mix in the out of saddle work I haven’t had much of an issue.
It goes away after about a week. I was quite concerned when I first got my bike that I wouldn’t be able to handle it, but it’s fine after a bit.
Good news. Really enjoyed the first two but was concerned. Will look for beginner ones that get me out of the saddle as well.
iirc the “advanced beginner” ones mix that in. Seems like any class with Alex he does out of saddle work (maybe aside from the low impact)
starva is an app that lets you log your workouts. It’s more of an outdoor app that logs distances, times routes and calories for workouts like cycling, running and swimming. So it’s an additional motivation thing. You see how others are working out and how far they ridden. you connected with peloton and it will log your weekly, monthly and yearly distances on your bike.
I think I joined Daniel Ocean 's ride yesterday. It was the first time I saw someone with a TMB tag in an active ride. I was the weirdo giving you all the high fives. ;)
AT Thanksgiving ride complete. Not my best output because of late night drinks, but feels good nonetheless. Happy Thanksgiving Peloton fam.
Anyone do that Turkey Burn ride this morning? Think I’m going to do that one in about 30mins before the Husker basketball game. We’ll see what one causes more pain.
Posted at the exact same time. Hoping it’s a good ride, usually Alex classes give me my best output but for whatever reason I’m feeling a little slow/sore this morning. Going to try my massage gun before I ride. Just hoping to burn some cals before my thanksgiving lunch.
Did alex 90 hip hop rode yesterday. Pussed out this morning and did cardio tennis for 90 mins instead.
Going to do a ride or run after breakfast deciding between Robin, Alex or Matt’s 45 minute outdoor run. Going to pay for today’s gluttony with that and Emma’s 60 minute class tomorrow.
Just completed the 45min Turkey Burn. This was my 2nd 45min class since I got it, I beat my previous output by 9 so that was nice. Got around 14 miles and almost 700 calories too. Hoping I feel OK by tomorrow afternoon to where I can do another longer class to burn off my Thanksgiving meal + lead me into the weekend. Thinking I might ride while I watch Iowa drop 45+ on the Husks and take out some frustration lol
Maybe you either need to ride the full game or switch it up based on Nebraska’s 2nd half performance this year.
I’m gonna try. But, it’s 8am here and after a couple bottles of wine and some bourbon I doubt I’ll do it live.
I might try to get on this one, depends how quick I can get back from picking some stuff up at the store...and how I feel after yesterday’s 45min
Auburn’s playing #1Gonzaga otherwise I’d be joining in. By noon I’m sure I’ll wish I had ridden instead of watching the slaughter.
Anyone have issues with the seat not staying where they want it? Seems like mine goes down a number as I ride. Also seems like the handlebars/bike is a little loose now as I do out of the saddle stuff.
Just did a 20min recovery ride, my seat started at 21 and ended at 18...I weigh like 220 so I know I’m not the smallest dude but that’s 80 below the limit so not sure wtf is going on
Silly question but are you guys sure the “lever” is tight? I am about 190-195 and have never had the issue.
Yeah I crank it pretty hard with my hand. I used to have weights on the back and took those off bc I figured that was adding to it.
Yeah I do mine tight as well. I googled it and there was a Reddit post and people said not to over tighten it and dent the metal, but I checked and didn’t see any evidence of that either.
Anyone have a good “schedule” for their week in terms of types of rides they do, how many recovery rides, etc. I have rode everyday since I’ve gotten it and usually just base my ride on how I feel or what new classes I see on the Home Screen. Now that I want to start mixing in some 45-60min classes I think I want to do a better job “planning” my week out in terms of what/when I do the ride.
Actually plan on doing the core program starting tomorrow. Only reason I haven’t done a cycling program is like I said I kind of just pick based on the home page or search instructors I like. I’ll check those out.
Bike bootcamp Monday. Tuesday difficult ride and strength training. Wednesday depending on how I feel but usually a recovery day . Thursday Cycling and Strength. Friday difficult ride and Strength. Saturday recovery ride. Sunday off. Recovery day is basically recovery ride, stretching and/or recovery yoga. Usually it’s 2 days of hard training and then a recovery day. I try to take at least 1 complete day off. Usually Sunday since I like to grill and have a few drinks on Saturday. I do 10 minutes of cool down rides and 10 minutes of stretching after every workout day except recovery day I just stretch on those days. I got the massage gun and I do that every other day.
Did Emma’s 60 minute ride today, while slightly hungover and trying to watch the Bronco shit show. That with a 5 minute cool down ride got me to 20 miles for today. Feels good.
Also am I missing it or did anyone notice when searching for a class on the actual bike you can’t filter by class type? Seems like that just went away last week.
lol I swear that’s what I do every time. I’ll make sure when I ride tomorrow. This happened a few weeks ago then it came back, but went away again this week.
