ND was one of the first to announce the adjusted schedule when we announced students were coming back, I’m pretty sure. Like I said, maybe I missed others, but it was a huge National story specifically bc we were (one of) the first.
hahaha what? UCF canceled all in-person classes after Thanksgiving and I assumed so did everyone else in the state.
Call me crazy but what if we paused the college basketball season? I’m sure that’s not exactly a novel idea but wtf?
They need to move it and try to start in February/March, run some sort of conference schedule, then do postseason.
UF admin's plan puts a lot of faith in the ability of college students to make good, logical decisions. UF has had more covid cases than all but one school nationwide. It's possible those two things are connected We're also doing in-person classes next semester so things are really just great here
i get that they lose a game check if they don't play, but man, it's insane nflpa isn't more up in arms about this. and of course there's a solid chance nfl is trading this one game now for multiple missed games in the weeks to come. but got to press on #ProtectTheShield
Just make a week 18 and get rid of the super bowl bye week and play the game then. It’s not that hard
problem with week 18 is what if one team has two opponents that have Covid issues who do they play? So say the bills get Covid and the Steelers have Bills and Ravens to play with week 18?
The one which most affects playoff seeding. Or you move games around or get rid of others (the AFC-NFC battles specifically). But even in that situation, an extra week provides more wiggle room than trying to charge through and clumsily move around shit. The NFL was extremely arrogant in not building more byes into the schedule. That could come back to haunt them. Best-case scenario it becomes an absolute mess.
Oh for sure. My was just about the ridiculous of this all, not that gameday now has a worse game to cover. Also, fuck Liberty so them losing out on a chance for another big win is great.
Cases are skyrocketing and these people are bringing students back to campus?????????? Yo this country sucks
