NBC would be more likely than Fox the way he goes after Republicans. Fox loves a democratic president. Sit back and shit on Biden for any and everything for 4 years his doing or not.

It seems like Bernstein set a decent example of outing gop politicians who pledge fealty in public yet in private admit that Trump is a fucking idiot and whatnot. It's years and years too late for it but at least some portion of the media is coming around to this (obviously it'll never happen for Chuck Todd). No doubt people like Haley and Hawley have said these things to reporters for favorable coverage at some point in the Trump administration. I think we'll see more outings, hopefully it's enough for Trump to torpedo the careers of those worthless shitheads.

so many of these loans (not just trump/kushner ones) went to failing companies who saved no jobs and closed anyway. Owners probably siphoned off some extra money before shutting a business down. The American way.

I can't imagine Trump doing the work necessary to carry a daily radio show for 2-3 hours a day, especially without audience feedback. Giving his stump speech over and over again wouldn't get it done.

Can he hear his voice in the headphones? This will be enough to keep him happy. Then we just disconnect the broadcasting equipment and let him do this until he dies. Perhaps one or two interns can post reviews periodically to let him know he is a five-star man.

He is going to fly around Florida and a handful of other places doing his rallies, now charging $25 per person to get in and he’s going to control all the merch. Once or twice a week you will get a running commentary from the lunatic block in this country about how unfair things are, how bad things are, and how only I can ever return it to what we had.

He’s too addicted to the crowds. I don’t think he can go on without the crowds.

the 230 thing is so backwards and another great example of how the right wing ecosystem doesn't actually care about reality just whatever someone said they should care about

if it got repealed right wingers would be banished way more aggressively than they are now

Siap. @benjaminwittes thread re: Barr's special counsel appt.
    Benjamin Wittes

This is a very good point from @steve_vladeck. The appointment itself does not comply with the regs. If Barr can appoint someone pursuant to his general statutory appointment authority and apply the regs, it is very likely that the next attorney general can rescind the order.

    upload_2020-12-2_14-12-6.png

That is, if the appointment is not bound by the regs, presumably rescinding the appointment is not either—and thus does not require good cause. If, by contrast, the appointment *is* bound by the regs, it violates them and thus can be rescinded as unlawful.
    I think.

Ok, having looked at this a little more carefully now, here's a first read:
    (1) The appointment is not made pursuant to the special counsel regulations but to Barr's general statutory authorities as attorney general:

    (2) Barr then applies the special counsel regulations to the appointment:
    Image

Except that (3) he does NOT apply the provision of the special counsel regulations that govern the appointment of the special counsel and require that the SC come from outside the department. This provision is 28 CFR 600.3:

In other words, Barr used general statutory authority to appoint someone and then by order applied the regulations—including the regulations that limit the special counsel's removal—to that appointment.
    Very clever.

Too clever, in fact. At least as I read it, and I'll be curious if @steve_vladeck disagrees with me, all the next attorney general has to do to get rid of this investigation—if he or she wants to do so—is rescind this Barr order applying the special counsel regulations to the SC.

At that point, Durham becomes a regular dude appointed by the attorney general to investigate some stuff and can be removed from that position at will. In the alternative, the next attorney general could simply amend this order and make clear that the entire slate of...

...special counsel regulations apply—and then remove Durham on grounds that his appointment is not, in fact, compatible with those regulations.

The best course, in the real world, may be to let him finish his probe. But if the next attorney general wants to end this thing, I think he or she will have ample latitude to do so.
That's all I got on quick inspection.
