Germantown is the tits....pre and current COVID. Can easily fit in your budget for a condo. Your drive would be less than 10 min to work (during any time).
The new apartments by the Sounds stadiums look nice and would be perfect for him if Brooklyn Bowl was doing shows and Sounds were playing.. The Griff is next to the greenway, Bearded Iris, and Oku. And The Optimist looks promising. Anybody tried it yet? And Werthan Mills Lofts is one of the coolest buildings in town. Lots of solid options. Heck I'm gonna move back now. There's rental homes in Salemtown showing up in that budget too.
I live/own in Werthan Lofts. Fantastic place. I've been to The Optimist...one of the best restaurants in Nashville. Service and food quality are unmatched. Tbh I feel the same way about Oku. Both are verrryyyy pricey though.
Just naming my top 3 in Germantown is hard. Oku Butchertown City House Henrietta is close. Haven't been to The Optimist, Mother's Ruin or the sushi place in whatever Germantown Bar is called now. this neighborhood
3/4 times I’ve been we’ve heard free shots. I’m trying to have a low key Sunday and I’m getting tequila handed to me
I’m just very excited to be getting a Publix down the street. But the best two things to open up this year on the east side would be Joyland (or maybe that was last year) and Hawkers (but this may just be based on the deplorable state of the Chinese food scene in Nashville). I haven’t sat down at a real restaurant since March so I haven’t been keeping up with what else, if anything, has opened recently over here. It’s a sad state of affairs over here as 5 points still mostly resembles a war zone.
Seriously guys, can't thank you enough. Still not finalized. Should know by Christmas. If it happens, beers on me when I get down there!
Love Joyland but we are very sad that Burger Up is not coming back to 5 points. I don't see myself sitting down inside Joyland as we did at Burger Up.
Haven't had Joyland before but its ALWAYS top of the list for the delivery apps. Pretty good? What's the vibe? Tried to go to Hawkers on Wednesday....it was an *hour* wait at 6:45pm. Fuggin nuts. Ended up drunk at Rosepepper in a plexiglass sarcophagus. Not a bad substitute tbh.
It's fast food service and prices, except from Sean. They have the lowest services fees out of anyone on Postmates. It's the fast food version of the Husk cheeseburger, but the fries at Joyland are better than the old Husk fries. I haven't been inside since delivery is so cheap and they initially started out doing curbside only so can't really speak on the vibe. But it's definitely not going to be like Hawkers.
best burger in Nashville IMO (did a blind taste test against Hugh Baby’s, Dino’s, Shake Shack) so far but I still haven’t had Browns or Grill Shack
Ehhhh it’s fairly expensive. I wouldn’t consider it fast food prices. $8 burger ($11 if you wanna double) + $3 fries + $3.50 soda. Still very good but it’s not super cheap
https://rocknrollznashville.com/ I keep forgetting to hit these up a good cinnamon roll is hard to beat
was trying to get the ML ROSE/Arnold’s chicken sandwich today but I guess it’s not available during brunch which is total and complete horseshit
Anyone else going to wait in line either overnight, or first thing tomorrow morning at Main Street Liquors for their bourbon allocation day? Thinking of doing it for the first time, but only geting out there around 6 AM.
I don’t say this about much but I have been hoping someone bulldozes those janky apts for years. Are they section 8? I kind of feel like they are.
weren’t they bought by a developer? Yeah we hear gun shots a lot from that area and our cars have been broken into a few times. It’s a scene man
Some more positive news today...Vandy will receive the two approved COVID vaccines on 12/18 and will start distributing them to staff on a priority basis. My girlfriend on the surgical ICU side is luckily considered in the first group. Surprisingly, it's not yet mandatory, just highly suggested.
shoulda known to throw that gun off down a storm drain or something. Kid clearly has never watched the wire.
Where should me and my brother go to lunch tomorrow? Neither of us have been downtown in a while. Anything new? We are very adventurous eaters and are content grabbing takeout and eating outside.
East Bank and River North developments are exciting, but what about the crime in those immediate areas. https://www.bizjournals.com/nashvil...ans-nissan-stadium-renovations-east-bank.html https://www.nashvillepost.com/busin...spring-2021-start-set-for-river-north-project
Not that I know of. There have been some just WTF shootings in Nashville this year. Did they ever figure out what happened with the car of young kids where like 4 of them were shot and the gun that was used was inside the car?
