Hopefully he can put on muscle because he is rail thin right now. He is a baller though. Also how did #Michigan Wolverines let the Ann Arbor guy commit to Michigan State?
Michigan barely recruited him, like every school other than MSU. He's always been viewed as highly unlikely to play in college.
Hes been an MSU or NBA lock since he was like 12 Chet was dominant at both ends of the floor. He completely controlled the game defensively. Jaden Akins seemed to be the only person on a stacked Ypsi team that had ever played against a shot blocker. I expected a lot more out of Dillon Hunter and Shawn Phillips.
Emoni Bates just ran off a kid from their HS team because the kid called Bates out for being a selfish player. That kid is also an MSU basketball commit. Yikes.
UM doesn't take kids with that kind of attitude, glad Juwan saw that early on and didn't recruit him.
Bates better get his attitude in check quick, cause he’s not ready to play any type of team basketball. All about himself and taking every shot. Whatever the next level is for him, it’s going to be a wake up call.
During the game against Chet I was thinking this. He was forcing everything and wasn’t letting the game come to him.
Unfortunately for him, he’s a 16 year old kid and has been told by everyone and anyone that’s he’s the best recruit since Lebron. Easy to see how it gets to his head
Yes. Sounds like Akins and Bates got into it during practice, as Akins called Bates out for being lazy / not playing team basketball. Bates camp got pissed and kicked him off the team.
