Passing offense is all out of sorts. Think everyone here is just Meh on KD, but honestly, he's not calling 3rd and ten passes for 5 yards, and he did not throw that dying quail of a pass. I really do think we need to see a lot more Stanley though. Hard to deny the difference in performance so far. Dude has been good, he needs to be given the ball frequently. Honestly, just seems like Noyer can't read the defense.
Thoughts up to this point? Feels like Noyer is having a bit of a stinker. Not sure they trust him tonight. Then again, does not sound like they are giving up much of the deep stuff. Not a big dink n dunk guy but if Noyer could make those quick reads tonight the game is probably over. Defense has looked fantastic to this point. Probably can blame some on the 48 hrs of prep for the game (including Thanksgiving) but it is what it is.
Noyer is having a crap game, probably some combo of: SDSU secondary not leaving a ton of room OL not pass protecting as well as previous games Noyer just having a stinker/not playing with the same confidence 2 days prep
I am surprised Clayton has not put in the transfer. Honestly, I expect both he and Mangham to bounce. Said it before, I am not sold on Mangham (particularly in Chiv's offense) but I am not going to be upset if either/both leave. Still, would like to keep Ashaad. Don't like seeing Broussard take so many carries each game -- not that we should not feed him, but 25 seems right. Would love to spell him with Clayton but clearly there is an issue with attitude/pass blocking (both?) keeping him from getting much. Fact is, I think Hagan can fill the hole if they leave, and it removes a log jam. Broussard/Fontenot next year is fine. Again, would prefer to keep Clayton, but there are worse loses.
Listen, not a huge fan of losing talent like that group but RBs/WRs are the positions that don't kill this team. Hagan and Chiv will recruit and replace. But yeah, that is a lot of talk for a 3-0 team. Will be interesting to watch. May have a difficult year transferring too, given the scholarship funkiness. Not sure how that will play.
Your running game is super impressive but you guys keep getting tackled inside the 10 after these huge runs.
