I'm doing a 14 day CrossOver trial now on M1 to install Path of Exile, we'll see how that goes. It does tell me before installing that, based on a report by another user in May of last year, that it will "Install, Will Not Run." Hopefully that's out of date. If it actually runs, I'll buy a license. Let me know if there are any specific apps, especially free apps that I could try to see if they run. Edit: Well boo, no good on PoE. Really wanted to have this as an option away from my PC.
Bluebeam Revu Not sure how to evaluate this one but my company uses Deltek for accounting side of business, and it runs thru windows explorer/edge. I’ve tried using the Mac version of edge to login to Deltek but it doesn’t work. Those two programs are the only things I need windows for.
Bluebeam Revu eXtreme says will not install. Deltek is not a known option for CrossOver, which does have a dropdown suggester. Couldn't figure another way of installing a desktop version. :(
That sucks. I’m a Bluebeam master. That’s been my bread and butter for years. It doesn’t have all the capabilities of OST but it’s easier to use. Same as Applicad over Autocad
Parallels is supposedly testing new version to support M1 which I presume would release soon. VMware is also working on one but sound like they aren’t very along far based on tech blogs. It’s fantastic. They used to have a Mac version but stopped supporting it once Big Sur was released. Seems to be a pretty decent movement to either open source it or update it for Big Sur. Current version is 2.1, which doesn’t work, but 1.9 does (limitations).
My previous company was a lot smaller and never even flinched when I requested access and encouraged me to get training on it. When I swapped to a larger company I foolishly thought they’d have even more resources, but I was wrong clearly.
After over a year, my AirPod pros started crackling. I called set up a Genius Bar appointment, walked in and out with an entirely new set of AirPods within about 10 minutes. Their customer service is insane
wife and i got the apple watch 6 today. i could have had it shipped to me and arrive in feb, or go to the store and pick up same day. interesting system.
Wife got an iPhone 12 Pro. We got it set up but it’s not showing any phone bars. Do we need to swap the SIM cards? It’s att.
Mine came with a new sim card already in it so had to do nothing. (upgraded from iphone 7+ so had wrong style sim anyways)
Has anyone tried the sport loop band? Got the braided sport loop in size 10 and I think I want to move down to 9. My wrist was like 9.7” so it bumped me to 10.
what are you gonna use it for? If you’re just gonna do office stuff I’d say 64 but if you’re gonna wanna download movies for kids/travel I’d say the 256
Kid has his own. I play games, stream, and run work meetings off of it...but no ACTUAL work or design. I'm leaning 64 just wanted to make sure the majority had settled on paying for 256 and I wasn't going to be cool if I did, too.
The I got 256 on the pro I just ordered. Might be a little overkill but I don’t know I could got down to 64. My iPhone is 128.
Normally I’d say yes but with 5g, carriers have been dicks about using older SIM cards so you may wanna ask your carrier (of which they’ll probably get you a new sim)
Throwing the dial from the Apple Watch on it is cool. I’ve wanted that on beats for a while. build quality of the over ear beats were so fucking bad, I hope these are a completely different process
Imo, less is more. I love my 12 mini and pods. I’d hate to have to lug around those massive headphones and say one of those Pro Max’s. Also, a release date a week before Christmas seems strange to me.
AirPods Max lol. Those things are gigantic, can’t fold them up for portability, and that case is ghastly looking
We are in Anchorage, boys. We got stuck in Chek Lap Kok for way too long. Just ordered an Uplift desk with a solid Walnut top and 2 more monitors and an iPhone 12 for my wife. ISO a second job.
I have a hard time spending $500 on headphones to listen via Bluetooth from a highly compressed streamed music source.
Anyone else having issues using wireless charging with an iPhone 12? I thought it was just a problem with the wireless charger I got at Costco, but apparently it’s a more widespread problem and Apple is aware of it.
