I had no idea until yesterday there was a volume control on the side of the screen, I always used the settings on the touchscreen. This also allowed me to discover you can select if you want more music or more instructor volume, something I had been wondering about this whole time.
Totally agree about Kendall’s Metallica ride. It was awesome. I broke a ~9-10 month 45 min PR by 40 kJ
Did the ride blocks go away for particular classes? I really enjoyed riding with a handful of people live at odd hours. Never wait around for the live classes.
Jess King is something. She is very dramatic, emotional, ... and sweaty. She really feels the music. I just did a HIIT ride and it ended with a song from Moulin Rogue. And I think she cried at the beginning of the song.
Don’t know if I love or hate myself but since I am probably not working out this weekend I decided to try something. Did Tunde’s 30 minute bike bootcamp. All tabata on the bike plus 17 minutes of strength. Follow by Jess Simms 15 strength class. Basically about 13 minutes of EMOM watching her bounce would have been nice but alas I was too tired to enjoy it. I followed that up by an Olivia rock ride. Climbs and HIIT. I might be dead.
I know I ask a bunch of elementary questions in here but it seems like this is the place I can actually get answers. Not sure if this makes sense but it feels like my left leg is fine in terms of how far it extends and bends back up when I pedal, but for whatever reason my right knee seems to get super “crammed” and bent at the top of my pedal stroke. Not sure what to really do about that. I got a board under my bike now and it seems to have helped the issue with the seat lowering as I ride, but since that happened I’ve had the worst knee pain in my right leg and can’t shake it because of how crammed it feels.
you’re riding right “dominant”. Matt Wilpers has some classes that work with proper form. Take them it will help you with your form it seems like that’s your issue and not fit.
My hips have been off in the past which has caused imbalances similar to what you’re describing. Chiropractors are quacks, but they have been able to solve it.
As Daniel Ocean said, sounds technique related but I'd try with the seat height up one notch. Feel like people often overestimate how much knee bend there should be for the leg at the bottom of the stroke. Then really work on the push and pull of the pedal rather than just pressing down. Did Kendall's Metallica ride today. Terrific class but that 107 recovery cadence at the beginning was brutal.
Did both of tunde's 30 min boot camps back to back today. Her body is amazing. She legit needs to be in the new black panther movie. I would have no problem believing she is a super hero.
I did a 45 minute Jess Simms boot camp today. I want to try Tunde’s Bootcamps. These are by far my favorite workouts. Need more Jess Simms in my life.
It was pretty tough. Did plank shoulder taps, curls, and shoulder press. All for 1 minute each back to back. Then did that three sets all back to back with no break. Then followed up with an amrap of renegade rows and pushups
I like it but like I said it isn’t as Balanced as the Jess ones I’ve taken. But I don’t think she has taught any bootcamps before so she is learning. I don’t doubt she’ll get better at the time management thing.
Idk it may be me? I feel like I do pretty well. Jark81 on the bike. Also, been doing more of the bootcamps lately and holy shit those just kill me. And every time I do them I’m just quietly saying to myself “yeah you aren’t really in shape at all”.
For our Emma fans (even though you’re wrong and Kendall is top), be sure to enjoy the 30 minute holiday ride from today.
60 minute bootcamp wasn’t as tough as the other ones. So either I am getting in better shape or she took it easy on us. I think little more of column B than column A.
Did she put one out today? I did the 30 minute Emma holiday ride plus 10 min Adrian arms plus 5 minute Emma core to make my own.
Yeah every Monday there is a live Jess bootcamp class. Today was 60 minute pop one. It is my must take live class.
His tread boot camp classes are tough as hell. He moves so fucking fast. Sometimes I wonder if my job was to do this shit if I might look like them. Quickly the thought is gone as genetics are very real.
He’s gotta be one of the most fit instructors Peloton has. He really seems like a genuinely nice guy. His IG is kind of all over the place. Do we know if he bats the same way Cody does?
You almost gave me a heart attack so I called to confirm - phew edit to clarify they confirmed it’s a set of 2 dumbbells so $85 for the set of 2
Took yesterday off as I'd been going really hard the last 2 weeks annnnnd Achilles tendonitis flares up this morning. FUCK.
Currently on chat with them. I already have a bunch of dumbbells so I am picking up a pair of 25 at 85 they are a steal right now.
