This might be the first funny thing I’ve seen out of billy football edit: the actual website, not the tweet
Just gonna say it, Billy Football has grown on me. The slideshow about fighting Logan Paul is hilarious. Russell Wilson is such a goober, that interview sucked. Last week's interview with Kirk Cousins was awesome, though.
I saw them recently say something on the PMT account about making someone people hate likeable. Did we ever figure out who that is?
100% agree, I think he's genuinely a boring guy. The last QB from the past 50 years I'd want to have a beer with. Dude suckssss
I think people think of him as a big goober, similar to Rivers. Just a huge dork. But they really went in during the interview, didn't necessarily hold back, and Cousins took it in stride. Laughed at everything and was very good natured about it, very self-aware of his persona and the public's perception, which I didn't expect. Also offered some good anecdotes and came off much more amicable than I would have expected.
i really wish dave hadn't done the BFFs pod. i don't want to pay attention to these people. but it is hilarious.
oh my god call her daddy girl said the ticktocker looked like sid from ice age within 2 minutes vindog has the kids head on sid from ice age dancing
I was 10 when he won that Super Bowl with the Rams and even at that young age I was uncomfortable seeing a woman with the exact same haircut as her husband
It’s not talked about enough how impressive his ability to immerse himself in completely different worlds just to grow the brand is
yet another pretty cringeworthy corona rant from Dave today. Probably the third or fourth one this year? He seems to be moving closer and closer to Clay Travis territory, but that's been going on for a while I guess
Not saying he doesnt truly feel that way or anything, dont get me wrong. But when I saw him tweeting about it earlier, it just seems like he knows if he goes that route its going to get a bunch of engagement online and probably get him invited back onto Tucker Carlson or whatever. Just seems like low hanging fruit to get people fired up on both sides. The biggest difference between Dave and Clay Travis, is it seems like Dave has kept it mostly to a "Im defending small businesses" schtick (thats when he seems to get going), rather than Clay Travis going full on get in the good graces of the MAGA cult
I think it got talked about in here previously, but WSD (I think) saying he would go back in time to witness the guy eat the bat, after being the one who established the fly on the wall rule of picking an event. Then everyone roasting him, I died. Eddie is solid on Dave Portnoy Show, but he cracks me up on Dog Walk too. Listened to some Toys R Us employee interview earlier.
who cares if he doesn't feel that way? Whether someone is being performative or earnest, people tune in and consume content without a care as to who actually believes what. Is Candace Owens earnest or a grifter or both? Answer: it doesn't matter.
To be clear, I am not trying to defend Dave or anything. All I was trying to say is, ever since that very first rant went viral, I think he just wants to recapture that so he feels the need to chime in any time something like this happens. I was really just replying to the Clay Travis comparison, because from what I have seen (which I'll admit is probably not every thing) it seems like Dave just wants to recapture that viral engagement by coming off as he's defending small businesses, but he seems pretty quiet on other things. Clay Travis is full-on "Chud" status where I will see him being a complete clown, like last week complaining that Vandy kicker got ST POTW. I understand that him doing this stuff results in people consuming it, believing it, agreeing with it, whatever. I was trying to specifically reply in regards to the Clay Travis thing because I can still at least stomach Dave in small/specific doses because he hasnt gone complete MAGA on it like Clay.
I’m sure people were saying the same thing about clay last year before he went full chud heel. Enjoy the ride!
I got into barstool by way of PMT and Pizza Reviews like 3-4 years ago and I consume very random pieces of content they produce. I think Dave can be funny at times, but I also think he can be an idiot at times. I am very far from a Go Pres Go guy or anything. Even earlier this year when he was doing the consistent COVID rants and the DT interview, I started to roll my eyes at him and tune him out. If Dave goes "full chud heel" like you said above, I would stop paying attention to him and my posts above would no longer apply. I dont have any bias/connection to any of these people to where I couldnt just shut them off if they do something outrageous that I don't agree with/support.
I don't like when Dave gets political (really just watch the pizza reviews which I love) but the shutting down of indoor dining with no help from the government is completely pathetic. Our country is such a joke.
if only one of the political parties dealt with this issue months ago. Too bad the bill has been on Mitch's desk since the summer. But let's rant about governments shutting down businesses to save lives. https://www.foodandwine.com/news/heroes-act-restaurant-relief-bill-congress HEROES 2.0 also reportedly includes a $120 billion relief package called the “Real Economic Support That Acknowledges Unique Restaurant Assistance Needed to Survive" (RESTAURANTS) Act, which would provide grants for restaurants, bars, food trucks, and other food-service venues to cover the difference between their 2019 revenues and their estimated revenues for each quarter of 2020. And according to Nation's Restaurant News, unlike some of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans that were handed out earlier this year, restaurants or franchises with more than 20 locations would not be eligible for these grants. "The revised version of the HEROES Act is the best plan Congress has put forward to protect the livelihoods of the 11 million people employed by independent restaurants across the country,” The Independent Restaurant Coalition said in a statement. “Independent restaurants are out of options, and by providing flexible grants based on revenue losses to independent restaurants who need them, Congress can ensure many businesses have a shot at surviving colder weather and getting through the pandemic.”
I mean this whole heartily: Suck my dick from the back. The thread is about barstool. The head of the company made a moronic video about the handling of covid and support for small business. I'm sure you can dig up a deke zucker tweet to get the thread back on track to your pleasing. Barstool's shitty politics should make you uncomfortable. Stop your bitching.
