I guess it isn't fair to make someone choose between their hate for sex stuff and unbridled love for racism
Steele as head coach, Bobo as OC, Dell as RB coach and I think we've got Auburn right where we want em.
As shitty as hiring Steele is.. You can't keep gus if he's going to recruit at the bottom of the conference.
Mario Cristobal is def not the worst coach ever. I agree there is some criticism around him, but this seems like a bit too far
Go ahead and make the switch to Bama now and you might get a very quick ROI with an SEC Championship and even a National Championship. You know you want to.
If you can go get this guy you simply have to. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/coaches/mario-cristobal-1.html
auburn had the 7th ranked class in the country last year. This year their ranking is deceivingly low because that they have a small number of commits. There is certainly room for improvement but with UGA and Bama so close, he really hasn’t done that bad of a job on the recruiting trail. No evidence that Steele would do better.
If you only look at the year that he had a healthy top 10 NFL draft pick at QB, it looks a lot better. Still lost to Gus malzahn though.
Ehhh idk man they have guys on their OL that wouldn't make it playing intramurals at UGA. His recruiting has been mediocre at best.
The size has something to do with it but it's also just not a very good class by their standards. This isn't a Clemson situation where they take like 15 of the top guys in the country. Class is bad.
Gus and Freeze definitely are. I have no idea why Freeze would need Tubs to reach out to Auburn. Sexton has their number.
Freeze reached out to Tuberville to get some advice on the South Carolina opening. That turned into Auburn is probably going to have an opening soon. Tubs just connected some dots.
It still makes no sense contacting someone who hasn’t coached in the league in a dozen years about that.
Just passing it along I could give a fuck either way. Tuberville is still pretty connected around here. I think Freeze having interest in Auburn is how this all started. Its not like he was going to call Gus for advice.
I think he’d most likely ask his agent, who has represented nearly every coach in the conference for 20 years.
