Using my 3rd party wireless charger with my mag case on, yes. I have to take my case off and it works fine. If using apple magsafe charger no problems at all with the case on.
I have had no problems charging wirelessly with any of the third party chargers I have. I also don’t use a case.
I’ve had issues with my third party wireless chargers. At times I’ll have to restart the iPhone 12 pro to get it to charge.
This is what mine is doing. Apparently the soft restart helps as well. Press volume up, volume down, then hold the side button on the other side. I did that and mine charged wirelessly until this morning.
I need to get out to a store once I get my COVID vaccine and check out the mini. I want to be able to hold it in my hand and see if it’s too small or not because the mini 13 or 14 is what I will get next.
I used an Anker wireless charger that holds the phone like an easel. I have 12 pro max with silicone magsafe case and it charges fine. I am waiting for more 3rd party magsafe chargers before I change.
Apple shit is not known for audio quality BUT not gonna lie, wife and I did the audio sharing feature with two sets of AirPods on a single iPad recently on a flight and that was pretty incredible
So after no problems with my 12 pro, wireless charging isn’t working for either of my chargers. These are both third party ones I’ve used for a whole year with my 11 and over a month with my 12. Anyone know of an issue with this?
I have had the same issue. It’s a known problem Apple has confirmed they are aware of. The thinking is it’s an issue with the handshake between the phone and the charger. If you soft reset it will usually let you wirelessly charge for a day or so but then goes back to refusing to charge. No eta on a resolution though.
Not sure, it just randomly stopped on the one I have at home on Wednesday and I just checked the one I keep at the office and now that doesn’t work and I know it did last week. Fun.
That’s the biggest part of the issue currently is that the ones intermittently charging are not actually Qi certified
This isn’t the case with my wireless charging issue. This is the charger I am using, and it states clearly it’s Qi certified. https://www.ubiolabs.com/product-page/wireless-charging-stand-wcb116 Here is one of the discussions on the Apple Community about the issue: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252036682
im not saying it's the case with all of them, but the majority of the cases are people not using Qi certified ones i'm not sure what changed on the internals but I think bc of magsafe stuff there is now a verification process built in so it doesnt validate the charging to allow it to start charging
so per https://www.wirelesspowerconsortium.com/products (which is what apple goes by per https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208078) I do not see that product # on there
I would and would double check that site above to make sure you dont run into the same issue (I personally love the magsafe apple one but I get that the price is a turnoff)
So if the product is on that website then it should good to go? The Anker Wirless Pad I have is on there. Edit: I turned my phone off and back on at the wireless charging worked.
Well, again, it's a 2 part issue. The first part is using a charger that's on that list. idk what changed from the magsafe part but something is causing ones not on that list to not work consistently. The other part is it seems some (to a much lesser extent) are on that list and still have that issue. It's unknown if when apple fixes their side what it will allow but I still wouldn't expect something not on that list to work (or at least they wont care if it doesnt work if it's not on that list).
Here you are, its under its manufacturer part number. https://www.wirelesspowerconsortium.com/products/5254 Its a Qi certified device. Rebooting will allow it to charge wirelessly for a short term, so it doesn't appear to be a hardware issue. Here is one of the main threads on Macrumors discussing the issues people are having with the Qi certified devices: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/upright-wireless-chargers-dont-work-anymore.2262698/
I wouldn't buy a new charger until they figure out what the issue unless it is having issues charging other devices. Yes the reboot usually fixes the issue. The issue is not related to Qi certifications in my opinion. The issue is a software problem navigating the handshake with some third party wireless chargers (including Qi certified).
I think it’s a 15w charger. I have no idea on time as I’m not a heavy phone user so I just put it on when I’m going to sleep
Wife got a 12 pro on ATT and is missing texts (they aren’t dinging or coming up in notifications). Any work around here?
Haven't looked into the new watches at all. Needed a last-minute gift for my girlfriend and spent two hours watching youtube videos of women talking about wrist sizes and whatnot. She's never had an Apple Watch before and I just said fuck it and went with the 44 inch. I'm sure it's going to look huge but I figure I can exchange it if need be. /tweet
there’s really very little difference. Larger one has more screen size and is easier to tap icons on.
I doubt the sound is any better than the Bose and Sony. Other features are cool. Today I put my mask on and spoke outside, call was clear and they could hear me well. So I think from a call wise they are an upgrade.
Just got the 12 pro max and haven’t noticed any problems yet. Big fan so far, but I just upgraded from a 7+. Feel like I can call in an air strike with this thing
Maybe this is why I like Bose...I care most about sound canceling. Don’t know how much quality i should expect streaming music from Spotify through Bluetooth headphones.
