Eggnog is delightful. How can you watch Christmas Vacation without eggnog? Typically I use makers or Buffalo Trace. Guys at work said brandy is way better. Trying to see if I should get off the couch and go to the liquor store.
me and a buddy pretty much KOed a bottle of Rare Breed on Tuesday night. Had some of that Knob Creek you sent last night (delicious) but I didn’t over do it.
Just cracked my 2020 Lot B. 2020 significantly >>> 2019 Delicious. Reminds me of the bottle I opened up a few years ago that started me on my bourbon journey. So vanilla creamy.
That's a good point. I really did not think 2019 was exceptional at all and I had 2 bottles, but that is anecdotal based on my 2. I was wondering why a couple of you were raving over it. I had a bottle from around 2011 that reminds me of this so much more. This one is a creamy dream.
2019 is pretty fucking delicious to me. I haven’t tried any 2020 BTAC or Pappy though. The urge to raffle....rises however
Let my wife choose whether I cracked my WFP, Old Forester BP SB, or Michter's Toasted Rye for the first time. Her choice, based solely on which label was her favorite..... Spoiler
My buddy revisited his 2020 Lot B today and said it’s better but still not top tier like the BTAC stuff. Could be bottle to bottle variation.
I would like the thread to know that Keef left it up to me whether he'd open this bottle, M10 Rye, or Old Fitz 15. I feel so important.
Blantons, EHT, Redbreast 12 cask strength. If you don’t Redbreast you really should by the way. It’s amazing.
Eagle Rare, Blantons store pick, Smokewagon Straight, and EHT Small Batch so far with the brother in law. It has been a great night.
Lil smoke wagon straight and Weller FP here. Just watching Schitts Creek and thinking about how early I’m going to have to wake up tomorrow
4 Roses small batch, Buffalo trace, wt 101 in eggnog, 1792 full proof store pick, woodinville store pick. Goodnight
Exact same boat here. Almost lucked into one the other day but missed it by 10 minutes. Was going to have a pour last night actually but it was like 60 degrees here so didn’t feel right, have always felt this was cold weather bourbon. Tonight’s low is 20 so that’ll be perfect.
I saw that. Reason this piqued my interest was someone on fb posted they got the book Bourbon Curious by Fred Minnick. Thought about picking it up but wasn’t sure if anyone here had maybe read it
I drank a bunch of wine yesterday and bought $180 worth of fireballs Only got a Blantons out of it math doesn’t work out, don’t drink and fireball (sold 2 OWA for $180 and used that money so it’s not that bad but still)
yes bottle secondary cost is divided by 10, so say it’s a $100 bottle- every spot is $10 (0-9 numbers). Use a state lottery 4 ball, the 4th ball is the fireball and the winner you buy the spots and wait on the results
Switching to OWA. I wish Weller prices would settle. It’s a decent pour but has no business being $100+.
some good prices here: https://www.nestorliquor.com/collec...4adJIJbCLad2fhTfzyYoxUuVU67BTMmpxy_VVTYyL6o7A
