I agree on the audio quality of a Bluetooth device with compressed audio. Why I think these airpod max are ridiculous price. High-end audio consumers will use specific wired headphones with DAC and lossless audio. These don't even come with a dongle for wired connection. For example the video screen on an airplane. That costs $35. But they will sell them....
People that are buying these for travel watch movies from their iPad Pros on flights, not the shitty little screen on the back of the headrest.
I'm currently working with AppleCare on trying to figure out why the picture on my new external monitor is so shitty. I've tried with my 2016 MBP as well as my 2013 MBP using both USBC and HDMI connections. Anyone else had issues with this? It appears it's not uncommon based on my Juggsian research
Got a couple off brand solo loop bands for my watch. These are nice. I need to find an off brand for the braided loop now. lol at paying the prices Apple charges for these bands
Posting from new MacBook Air. Thing is pretty slick. What browser do y'all prefer? I've always been a Chrome guy, but then I read that Chrome severely slows your machine down, but maybe it's not that bad.
From what Ive read, it's not optimized for the M1 chips yet and that's where the issue is. Once it is, it will be fine
It's functioning just fine for me, so far. It did ask whether I was downloading for an M1 chip or an Intel chip prior to download.
I like Chrome, it also is M1 native. I have some tools for work that require the Chromium engine so I don't see myself ever swapping.
Chrome is now native to M1 as of November 18ish. Side by side test show it’s slightly slower than Safari but as stated above the extension battle goes to Chrome by a long shot. Firefox updated December 15 so I’m back on that bandwagon. Microsoft Edge is on the way but why though?
Oh thank god, I’m going back to Chrome ASAP. The only cool thing I liked about Safari was a native ability to PiP any video, but I long ago found a workaround to do the same on Chrome.
The Rosetta translation for those browsers was shockingly throttling them worse than other products. Maybe not shockingly since it gave some people time to get comfortable with the Apple/safari option. Lightroom and photoshop for a lot of things (the only reason I got a new computer) is faster on most operations than a top of of the line MBP and in some instance even the Mac Pro with intel chips and that’s BEFOR the M1 native version has been released. I feel like I have a cheat code when I’m processing photos it’s so fast.
Can’t wait until Adobe gets that m1 version out. I spend most of my waking hours interacting with these bastard programs and I demand relief!
I’ve got Affinity and Pixelmator for shits and giggles but I haven’t had anything to do nor any desire to do anything.
Ok, so he’s a small issue— I’ve noticed every once in a while, I don’t get a notification for a non iMessage text. I’ll just look down hours later and the response says it’s been there the whole time. Apparently this a widespread issue with the newest iOS update, but it looks like the missed notifications only happen when the message app is left open. Is this happening to anyone else?
FIL got me the AirPod Max’s total surprise. They’re badass. Not sure they’re worth the money but I’ll use the shit out of them
No sorry was asking if someone else had experience because they are kind of expensive but the Darth Vader looks bad af
Just a heads up iOS 14.3 is out and it completely solved my wireless charging issue. Original charger works just like it used to now.
Is there some new issue with iMessages and notifications? Clearly getting texts but no notifications...no sound alerts or anything on screen to alert.
https://9to5mac.com/2020/12/11/ios-14-messages-notifications-iphone/ Many articles about it claim it’s isn’t fixed even though Apple says it is fixed.
Hey my wife got an iPad air for Christmas she now has iphone, airpods, watch, and iPad. Is there an all in one charging station that is recommended to declutter her night stand?
For all that shit at once? No. get a multi-usb power brick and a cable organizer and just have the lightning cables available to connect to
