Make sure youre watching in chronological order https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder Watch all of Clone Wars first. It all happens between Attack of the Clones & Revenge of the Sith. S7 included Rebels takes place between ROTS and ANH
Disney+ has a new set of Ahsoka essential episodes and I will always recommend the Umbara arc that’s peak TCW without involving the main characters
Really excited to see more people checking out TCW and Rebels, and why S2 was mind blowing for so many of us
yea I went through the old X-Men cartoon not long ago and doing it in the correct order was such a pain in the ass. when I watched TCW for the first time I had torrented everything so it was much easier. one of the downsides to streaming I guess.
I know nothing about Clone Wars but I’m intrigued since some of the cool Mandalorian characters are apparently in it. Do I need to watch the animated series or the film or what’s the best way to start this process? I’ve obviously seen all the major films already so I have a decent understanding of things.
The animated series is all you need to watch. Like others have said make sure you watch them in chronological order. If you don’t then the episodes will get confusing as the story jumps around. Especially in the first three seasons. You can skip droid centric episodes and anything with padme.
https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder Most of the s1 episodes are bad and skippable. Then skip any episodes that mention jar jar or center around droids then when you’re done, watch Rebels in the set order
Yes, even the best droids episode is skippable. Like that one droid episode where r2 is leading some team of droids and they're stuck on a barren planet and somehow get off. Of the planet, I mean. There, now you know the plot to the best droids centered episode in the series and can safely ignore them.
The last Jedi question - 1. Who was force connecting kylo and Rey? Answer - I thought it was snoke. 2. if that’s true then wouldn’t that effort kill snoke himself?
It was Snoke. But then in TROS it was revealed Palpatine created Snoke. IDK if that means 1) Snoke became his own being once created and acting of his own free will or 2) if that means Palpatine was controlling him the entire time. Maybe with however Snoke was created, he was much stronger in the force. Or maybe it was easier for a dark side user to use that particular ability and why it was more strenuous for Luke. Kylo did seem to be aware of the power and assumed it would kill Rey like it eventually did Luke. Who both were more light side. Luke was more grey in his interpretation but he was not fully turned to the dark so maybe that's why it took such a toll on him to use that ability. I'm completely making this up as I go so who knows if it makes any sense. All that said... bridging their minds isn't the same thing as projecting oneself across the galaxy. Both require a lot of effort but it seems what Luke did would be more taxing than what Snoke/Palpatine did.
Starting a new show on S2E16 seems strange. But I’ll trust you and go this route. edit: I now see when originally aired it wasn’t in order which I’m sure has been discussed ITT a million times already.
#FiloniWroteIt: “What do we do? Fight our way to the shuttle?” “There’s too many, besides I won’t hurt them.” “I hate to tell you this, but they don’t care, this ship is going down, and those soldiers, MY BROTHERS, are willing to die and take YOU and ME with them” :removescapRex’shelmet: “You are a good soldier Rex, and so is EVERY ONE of those men down there. They may be willing to die, but I am NOT going to be the one that kills them.” Spoiler
Such a missed opportunity that they didn’t make her the 7th sister. Would have added so much more to her and ashoka’s interactions in Rebels
#thankyoujonanddave is trending on Twitter everything about it explains why half the fandom is stuck in the past and largely sucks ass
it’s just masturbating to seeing Luke in his prime. Making people feel young again. Saying they saved Star Wars with that scene. Dunking on “Ruin Johnson.” I don’t have the energy to quote it all but the tweets are there to see. all these people want to do is wax nostalgia through a never ending dopamine drip of fan service I liked the scene as much as anyone else, but largely because it actually fit the narrative and makes sense in the context of the story. Idk it’s just depressing to me
I’m so jealous of the route you’re about to go on. Especially if you haven’t been spoiled by anything. Ahsoka is my favorite character in Star Wars and it’s really not close. IMO season 4- through the end is some of the best writing for a show period.
I absolutely loved the tweet and TLJ didn’t even cross my mind. for whatever that’s worth. I really love what Favreau and Filoni are doing partly because of how much they seem to love it themselves. when I saw Hamill thank them I just thought about two lifelong fans being thanked by probably one of their heroes and how surreal it must have been. I’m not surprised people on the internet have taken the negative approach, but I hope you don’t let them ruin it for you.
I’m two episodes into Clone Wars and really enjoying it. The chronological list thingy says to watch the theatrical release next. Is that necessary or do I just continue on with the show episodes?
I'm through two seasons. I'm enjoying it so far, but the episodes with Ahsoka are a lot more enjoyable to me than the ones without her. Maybe that changes in the later seasons, but she's by far my favorite character in the show.
She was the character that the kids (sometimes I have to remember it’s a kids show) were supposed to relate to. So was Ezra in Rebals but where as Ashoka was pretty badass from the get go and one of the best characters in her show, Ezra is pretty consistently a whiny bitch and the worst character of his show
yup, as an adult I selfishly wanted Kanan to be the main character - much the same I wish obi wan was in the prequels
I am about to start up the Clone Wars show and looked up the watchlist, even season 7 is supposed to be watched out of order according to this, is that correct? Seems like towards the ends they'd line up everything. Just making sure
As long as the last 4 episodes remain the last 4 episodes of the series, nothing else really matters.
https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder This is what I was looking at and it does have the last 4 in order
