most confusing thing I’ve seen in one of our basketball games. The lack of knowledge from the announcers was awful. The score in the stadium didn’t change until less than 15 seconds on the clock, basically as we shot our final shot.
Fletcher is the only player I've seen cal put on blast like this publicly. Even guys like jared vanderbilt or khalil whitney were supported when they were fucking over the team. Hagans had a blowup last year on the bench, and Cal secretly suspended him, but didn't publicly announce it. But yep, Cal hate, durh durh
I don’t know why Calipari even recruited him given how his attitude issues in HS/AAU were apparently pretty widely known. Not like he was considered an elite talent that would be potentially worth putting up with that type of crap.
Vanderbilt getting rolled on the road against Davidson as well. Georgia is outscoring Northeastern by over 30 points in the second half after trailing by 13 at the half.
I was listening to UT rival's site basketball guy explain why he thought UT's team had such good chemistry and why Springer and Johnson were happy to come off the bench. It was basically, "Rick Barnes is too old to recruit assholes and kids he doesn't like, even if they are really good." Course UT did recruit Ramar Smith, who probably executed a guy, and was why those UT players were driving around with a gun.
I was really excited to land them at the time. Tyler Smith getting thrown off the team for possession of an unregistered gun he got because Ramar Smith was threatening to kill his kid sort of made me revaluate that class Pearl landed.
You recruit your own problems. It’s still a bullshit move to air dirty laundry on Twitter like a fucking child about locker room issues. I don’t care what the kid did emotionally after Cal has coached them to a 1-5 record... using this kid as a scapegoat is just another in a long line of scumbag excuses he uses when his teams struggle and blames it on youth/immaturity. I’d say the same shit if Muss or Pitt did it.
oats didnt allow petty in the building tonight. love it. dude just doesnt care at all and is a huge detriment to the team. apathetic, terrible attitude, selfish, low effort, and just not good at.basketball at this point. not surprisingly, we played much better tonight than we have all season. i hope he stays gone. we have quite a few quality wings who care much more and play much harder. hes always been that way. fuck him.
He’s done a lot more than that. He’s been a hothead dating back to HS and has been a problem all season long, threw a childish fit in game over not getting enough PT, left the game early, did some shit in the locker room after the game, publicly talked shit about Calipari in the Lexington airport on the way back from the game, etc.
But the thing is that he isn’t even good, yet at least. He had a solid first game but been arguably the worst scholarship player on the team since then.
League play is finally upon us. Tonight’s games are meh but tomorrow should be fun. Interested to see how UGA and Arkansas look playing teams w an actual pulse. Not looking forward to Mizzou getting crushed. Imo we’re nowhere near the 12th best team in the country. Cant score consistently enough. Closer to top 20ish at best
Our best three point shooter doesn’t make three pointers and Tilmon forgets he’s playing in an actual basketball game on average about 35 minutes per game. We’ll be lucky to hit 40 points.
He got ripped, dribbled the ball off his own foot and tripped over the half court line in the first 3 out of 5 possessions of the game.
My nephews team had to play his big ass and Isaac McBride (signed with Kansas, now at Vandy) in the state title game a few years back. We played out of our minds and it was still unfair.
