huff has only been your coach for 2 years he’s not responsible for any of the really good ones we just saw
i misread it regardless, if both saban and sark think highly of him i’ll take my chances i’m more confused about that fucking loser with the bad hair
Assuming they will try and get those twins to get over to UT somehow now of course without tampering obviously
we’ve forgiven him just hope he doesn’t let this great opportunity slip right through his hands this time
I’ve read multiple hand jokes about Blake Gideon. What infamous moment in Texas football history are you guys reliving?
2008 Texas Tech game. Texas leading late in 4th quarter. Harrell hits him in the hands on the final game winning drive and he drops it. A few plays later Crabtree catches game winning TD.
Does it matter? I'm convinced Saban could put a bunch of chimpanzes on staff and still win 10 games every year.
Apparently just Strength coach according to IT, will hire another coach for Conditioning, split duties.
Pfffff id like to see some scientist try and tell Ed O how his players are going to workout in the offseason
Pretty much. With all the first rounders, AA's, Biletnikoff's and now a Heisman at the position, being the lead recruiter for exactly 0 of your top WR targets is pretty telling of your capability on the trail. Our CB and RB coach are doing his work for him there, as Z mentioned. That being said, as a coach I think he's done well in his short time with our younger guys especially, and his players seem to love him when they actually get on campus (dating back to his tenure under Fuente at Memphis and VT), so I assume he is just one of those guys not that big on the recruiting aspect of coaching. Before we hired him, it was publicly known that he was aiming for a rise in the coaching ranks (OC) to move his career on to the point of becoming a HC, so that may be part of it.
According to a post from a mod on Inside Texas... for whatever that’s worth. Maybe Ash is telling people inside the program. Maybe it’s speculation from agents to try and pressure Sark to retain him. Maybe it’s BS haha. “Florida is looking at Chris Ash for co-DC to pair with Todd Grantham.”
he’s been a name we were told we were in contact with for our open safeties position but nothing more than that
Greatest thing about Saban is he never gets too close to assistants Urban let his best man and Schiano drive him into another breakdown, Mullen won’t get rid of Grantham
the Grantham thing may not be over...he’s reportedly in talks with a few schools main issue apparently is paying out his contract from our end which is bullshit if true
Texas DC list. In other words it could be anyone Zach Arnett - Mississippi State DC Marcus Freeman - Cincinnati DC Tosh Lupoi - Atlanta Falcons DL/OLB (former DC at Alabama) Peter Sirmon - Cal-Berkeley DC Derrick Mason - Vanderbilt HC John Glenn - Seattle Seahawks LB Pete Golding - Alabama DC Chris Ash - Texas DC
Shit I’d take Dan Quinn as a college DC. Surely he’ll get NFL looks. And clearly Chip is getting the AD info.
Isn't Tosh currently employed by the Falcons and hasn't he coached LBs? (*holding out hope*) But also, Bo Davis is meh to me, unless he's got some rainmaker recruiting chops I don't remember (prob how he got his show cause)
