I remember when the Shane Beamer hire was sold to the USCe fanbase as a good hire because he can hire great assistants and they will build a great staff. Maybe they will come true now that auburn just bailed him out of his shitty OC and even shittier OL coach hires.
I wasn’t actually that down on the hiring of harsin but I don’t think that this offensive staff is any good. Trying to replicate the richt offense at UGA with less talented players doesn’t seem like the best of ideas.
good guy, he'd show up high to our poly sci breakout classes back in the day. IDK about him as a WR coach anymore. Think Steelers almost hired him a year or two ago.
the red flag on Bobo for me is that he keeps getting these new career mortgages, fat checks with job security at good programs and you'd think he would make the fundamental changes necessary to adapt to where CFB is going + learn from his past mistakes...and he is punting entirely. Him playing the Collin Hill guy last year over trying to develop Hilinski was embarrassingly lazy.
Bobo was a really good OC 5-7 years ago. The problem is that's an eternity in cfb combined with his medical issues and I really have no idea what to think of him now.
The one thing keeping Bobo hungry is that the only guy in football who has to provide for more children than him is Phillip Rivers
Where is Travis Williams going to end up? That guy seemed like the best recruiter at auburn. Not a good coach or harsin just bringing in his guy? I’d imagine he will be a hot commodity in the assistant coach market
Heard rumors of TRob holding out for a spot on our staff if Warren gets an NFL job Random but I'm waiting/worried one of Auburn, UT, South Carolina will hire Nick Williams to an on-field coaching role. Fucker might be the best recruiter we've got and he can't even do it off campus.
So let me get this straight. Auburn hires a guy from Boise, Utah who then gets Mark Richt's 2013 UGA band back together while raiding Will Muschamp's 2-8 staff? He's also not keeping Rodney? I think I'm in love with this guy.
Forgive my ignorance, but do coaches have to memorize the Auburn creed and also attend Camp War Eagle?
What most here seem to not understand is that Coach Hars is a true leader of men. Just b/c these other coaches didn't serve under an elite HC as himself, doesn't mean they aren't going to be good.
Will friend had what...4 5* OL for Tennessee this year and they were still awful how does he keep landing SEC jobs
