That’s tough. I prefer just to not have any around. gf did buy some wine last night and offered to get me some but I declined.
Been dry since the 3rd. I'm fortunate I've never been one to drink alone at home. But it was also never a problem to walk a block to a bar and sit there by myself. Avoiding indoor bars due to the pandemic is helpful in this regard.
9 days down. Coming down with what I hope is only a cold, so temptation will be 0 for the next couple days.
Cruising through so far. Monday will be a big test for sure, but get through that and I think I’m set.
TooooooBeeeeeeeFaaaaaIiiiiiiiiRrrrrrrrrr I’ve had two drinks a shot and a bourbon with dinner last Saturday. I have a 6 pack that I’ll drink tonight while watching UCLA vs Zona because I can deal with a coup but I hate #Arizona Wildcats with every fiber of my being. I wish I could watch this game sober but I know I can’t. They are worse than ISIS and the GOP mIrite #Arizona State Sun Devils alt
The worst habit BY FAR that Covid brought back for me was soda. I’m doing a soda per day right now. Shame on, TMB. Spoiler
Last drink was NYE. Have put in a average of 60 minutes per day on the Peloton every day this month. Also going to bed earlier and sleeping better.
been sober since NYD. I'm sleeping like shit and have been up for 36 hours. my bed times have been 4am, 6am, 4am, 1am, 4am, didnt sleep last night
Same here. All of these, I quit drinking and now I fall asleep with ease and sleep through the night, yippee!!!!! posts really irk me off. Insomnia is a bitch.
Day 9. Sleeping like shit. Haven’t pooped in two days. No weight loss. Night time anxiety is jacked up all the way to 11. but no hangovers is great.
have you guys tried the following? sleep masks? Sleep meditation? Turning down the room temperature? White noise? Sleep headphones? Melatonin? All? A combination of those?
Depending on how much you were drinking, you probably aren't sleeping because of your body adjusting to not having any alcohol. Insomnia is a side effect as are those weird ass dreams. Small part of withdrawals. And a week-10 days afterwards is when they kick in. If it is a withdrawal ordeal, it will pass. You don't have to have DTs or the shakes to have withdrawals. But if you were a heavy drinker, this is a strong possibility for why you are not sleeping.
I see some smoke wagon in there. I'd love to get my hands on a couple more bottles of the uncut unfiltered.
Had pizza last night after putting the toddler to bed man not having a couple beers with post baby to sleep pizza was weird tried OJ and that wasn’t the move we are doing thick cut strips tonight, no wine :(
I’ve been drinking non caffeinated tea at night. I’ve found that plus something relaxing non stimulating, like reading has helped me.
