I think I just need to a new hinge/band. $125 on the BGE website. I'll probably do the gasket as well. It should take 45 minutes but I'll probably need 2 hours because I suck at assembling shit
You did indeed at a hotel parking garage in Buckhead. This is the first issue I've had in 8 years and if I'm being honest it's mostly my fault
Yes Thanks, I was making a joke on the post from a month or so ago about the guy talking shit about smoke rings.
what do yall use to clean all the gunk and drippings off the plate setter? just did a reverse sear on a steak and the plate setter was smoking it up like crazy
I’ll throw foil on top if I’m cooking something fatty. Which reminds me I just threw a fucking butt on and didn’t put a pan in. God fucking damn it, it’s 30 and winds are 15-20 mph. edit there’s nothing that I’m aware of that “cleans” them off other than heat and time. It can give other cooks a unique taste though if they catch.
Blackened fish tacos. Topped with a fresh homemade mango, honey, habanero, & lime salsa (it also has Serrano peppers, cilantro, lime, scallions, & corn). Also topped with cilantro, avocado, & cotija. One of my all-time favorite meals. Glad to be able to do it now without smoking out the kitchen with a cast iron & butter.
Yep my wife was food prepping today for the week and needed ground Turkey, onions, Italian sausage, sweet potatoes, and spaghetti squash all cooked and was freaking out bc she didn’t have time to do it all. I offered to cook all of it while she watched the little one and threw most of it in the pellet grill and cooked the turkey, onions and sausage on the griddle. Turned out fantastic and I got to sit and drink beer and watch football peacefully. 10 out of 10. Would recommend.
Ran a bit hotter than I like but I wasn’t going outside again last night to adjust temp. I guess lunch is done.
Random note, my favorite way to “clean” out my Joes. Wait for a windy day, clean out ash pan and if there are coals sift through them. Get out my Stihl put it to work until dust settles. Do not recommend if you’re in a highly residential area.
I get the same feeling after I've washed/vacuumed the car and filled up the tank. It just drives better after that, I know it.
Just threw some baby backs on because they were on sale. How long do y’all usually smoke them for? I figured 250 but since I don’t do baby backs usually wasn’t sure on time
Just threw some pork belly on. Going to smoke it for about 4 hours, then slice and pan fry it to go in ramen tonight.
Anyone use those inside joints? I just got one and gonna test it out. It's a bday present from the wife n kids.
Is there a store bought rub you guys like more than me just mixing cumin, S&P, garlic, paprika, onion powder, cayenne and brown sugar? This is for pork
Have never even seen such a thing. Can you give us a detailed cook with pics? Seriously could have some legit uses.
Basically it's a foreman but u add water at the bottom. It's a tray for it. I'ma pellet and charcoal cooker. I got some chicken for the 1st go around. Supposedly smokeless grilling. Will see tho. I just got it today so I'm washing the joker and will report back
This would make a killer pastrami if you smoked it first for about 6 hours and then switch to it to finish.
