I don’t know why that was a take-away thought after looking at that pic... you’ve got plenty of great ryes in there with a few barrel proofs. But okay I’ll play along now and double down: you really should get a Sazerac 18 and a TH Handy.
Anyone have a Woodenville private select bottle. Thinking about getting one. I love the regular 90 proof
Just finished one. It was great. my place has had it for a while. $70 which might deter some folks who’ve never heard of it. I really like all their offerings that I’ve tried and I’m patiently waiting for some longer aged producers from them.
Suntory Toki should be around $50, but I’d recommend just jumping up to $65 and getting a Nikki Coffey Grain
I drank half of it and its amazing, I’ve been saving a few samples to share with Degausser and Earn_Marks when post pandemic they can come hang out in the bourbon room/fuck shack
1910 is great. I have a pour left of the BiB and it’s still a solid bourbon but way less of the banana profile
Cracked the armida for a nightcap. Strong pear notes on the nose but the palate is heavily amaro based more so than the brandy and rum. The finish is where the sweetness of the rum takes place. Definitely enjoyable but I’d rank Dovetail slightly above it. Going to give it another try in a few months after it sits.
Further sips and more of the pear is prevalent throughout. Me likey. Need to do an actual side by side to see which I prefer compared to the dovetail
What bottle should I buy to make old fashioneds with for the game tomorrow? I don’t have anything in the house I can actually drink.
Alright. This stuff is delicious. Barrell has more than redeemed itself after the disaster the 15 year was for me
Got this for the father in law’s birthday. Might need to get some for myself at some point. Any thoughts on this bourbon?
