the background on this has fucked me up and I won't revisit it again; suffice to say the state failed this woman when she was a child, turned her into someone who committed a horrible crime... and now the state will kill her. It's barbarism.
Absolutely. She never had a chance in life and was failed by virtually every person she ever came into contact with, save her former step-sister I guess (who seems to have been good to her). It's completely heartbreaking.
Favorite thing I read today is that Deutsche Bank won’t renew Trump’s loans as of 23/24 when they come due (we knew this). if he can’t pay, DB can take over the propertiess (we knew this). If the foreclosures are not worth enough to cover the loans, Trump personally signed off on the loans as the responsible party and would be held personally responsible for the difference. That’s just sexy.
I figured Deutsche must have an angle here because it is frankly shocking that they hadn’t blackballed Trump decades ago.
They've been in the news for years now related to the fact that everyone on the planet knows they were laundering for trump Inc (to say nothing of dozens of other bullshit operations)
Hold your collective breath for 3 years, this might finally be the time a rich person has consequences come their way.
Considering making a troll account on Don Jr’ s platform and attaching quotes from random dictators to Trump and Reagan to get the CHUDs to share.
as a forensic psychologist that has worked on capital cases, that story is appalling on so many levels. It’s a textbook case of when we tell attorneys about ineffective assistance of counsel.
Don Trump Jr is the one with the best chance of obtaining the support of his father’s base. He seems to have adopted all of his father’s beliefs and he has the added advantage of being a “muh guns” guy.
As an update to that case: her execution was stayed yesterday in the DC court. SCOTUS then vacated the stay with the liberal justices objecting. She was executed early this morning after being held in the execution chamber for several days because the all male facility had nowhere for a woman to stay. Cool country we have here!
There are a lot of ways that led us to the moment of last week. One of the biggest ‘how did we get here?’ is in this tweet. We normalized casual civilians being able to purchase, and carry around, heavy artillery that was designed with one goal, to kill somebody/something. We decided to fight it by ramping up fire with fire instead of casually bringing it down. Time is becoming a flat circle when it comes to guns.
Republican Rep. Nancy Mace seems to not have a totally rotten brain in her first speech on the floor. She kind of shit on her colleagues right off the bat. Nope nevermind she invoked both sides.
Talking Head wanted to let you know Georgia is replacing Alexander Stephens' statue in the Capitol with one of John Lewis know you had expressed concerns the South would be devoid of art, ghost towns with no culture except that of Confederate regalia. Thanks for flipping Georgia blue!
You make an excellent point. But also, those actions are pretty much instinctual and occur in movies and tv all the time. However, we are a sad nation.
I don't understand why the police let them in or didn't arrest them for not complying. You aren't above the fucking law
