agree here. Tua and 1.3 is a pretty substantial haul already. I don't think adding 1.18 or another future 1st is necessary.
Trading for the 3rd or 4th best QB in his prime likely requires two first rounders. Whether one is 2022 is up to the Texans.
so Josh Rosen went 3-10 with about 2.9K yards and 11:14 TD:INT and 0 rush TD then got traded for a 2 and a 5 Tua went 6-3 with 1800 yards, 10:5 TD:INT and 3 Rush TD I think this is the closest indicator of his worth and I think he’s worth a late first round pick being charitable
Watson is sure thing. Well on the path to being a hall of famer. Getting Tua back is not a replacement for a 1st rounder imhv (maybe a late first as suggested by Evil Homer ). You have to take into account his injury concerns. You also have to account for the fact that someone like Watson is rarely traded and it is hard to fathom what his trade value is.
if the current Tua (so having played in the NFL in 2020) was somehow back in the draft, where would you see him going?
I would say middle of the 1st considering the last memory we have is that awful game against buffalo.
in my view, he'd definitely be behind: Lawrence Wilson Fields and probably be behind Lance then you start debating him vs Trask and Jones and maybe that guy from Nevada that I know nothing about
Guys, I know this is TMB, but can we think beyond the small sample size of his first NFL season after a major injury? Think it’s fair to say Tua’s issues right now are probably linked to him rushing back to the field with training time limited by COVID. If he comes back next year and doesn’t show any improvement, I think we can start making some more qualified judgements about his trade worth. The idea he’s not worth a first seems comical.
What PFN is hearing regarding Deshaun Watson and Miami “I don’t think it’s likely he gets moved. Everything I’ve been told is that they weren’t going to trade him.” Further dousing the flames of the Deshaun Watson to Miami trade rumors, Allbright went on with information he received from a source. “This same source told me they weren’t trading Deshaun Watson at all. I pressed that person for a hypothetical. Hypothetically, what would it take to move Deshaun Watson in a vacuum? He said it would take three firsts, three seconds, and a Pro Bowl-caliber player would start the conversation. So the idea that you’re going to get Watson for Tua and a first and something else is laughably ridiculous. It’s not happening. You’re not getting Deshaun Watson for less than it cost Jamal Adams. Deshaun Watson would require an absolute boatload to obtain right now. He’s not even on the block, and he has a no-trade clause, so he’d have to waive that.”
Xavien Howard jersey is a way better investment imhv but I guess you can take the Tua jersey to the pro shop in 2 years and they'll switch out the nameplate.
I have no idea if Tua will be great or not but I do know that throwing some INTs in downpour rain on the first day of OTAs isn't telling me anything either way.
I don't think Tua is going to be a great NFL QB but bro conveniently leaving out this tweet is very on brand.
sources are saying tua doesn't have the arm strength nor hand size to complete passes in inclement weather sources are also saying that doesn't bode well for late-season trips to New England, New York, and Buffalo over the coming years* *if, sources say, Tua manages to last that long
