Just toss them some generic line about it showing how for the average investor buying and holding is a better strategy than day trading (Even though that’s what this thread is mostly about). Also, idk if you’re teaching 9th graders or juniors in college so that could change the message.
All four of the winners are in 10th. Yeah, the biggest problem with a game that only lasts three months is that it teaches bad habits.
Listen, fella. I'm a 34 year old father of 3. I have like 2 habits in my life that are good. Bad habits are life lessons.
Pick up more NIO. It will be at 150 by this time next year and you will be wishing you could have bought below triple digits.
I jumped on this Monday morning too. Held for a couple of hours and made a solid return. You still holding?
I have a similar situation. While in law school back in 2008, I sat in class and answered surveys for bitcoin. It was back when 1 bitcoin was worth like a $.05. I did this for a couple of days and then moved on to something else to keep me entertained during class. I forgot all about it for several years until the price of bitcoin started to skyrocket. I spent a solid a couple of months trying to unlock my account. I have no idea what the password is. I also have no idea how much bitcoin I have. I would assume it would have to be at least a couple. I don't think I would have answered survey questions for fractional pennies at the time. If anyone knows a way to unlock their accounts, I'm all ears.
No I cashed out Tuesday on the open for a c hair of a loss. I don’t have the risk tolerance or spare capital for weekly options bets right now.
My partner made a chunk today off GME options and he said he just follows /r/wallstreetbets and will throw some money down every once in a while on a flyer. Paid off big time today. I guess I have a new follow on Reddit.
They have convinced themselves that Ryan Cohen is the savior of the company. Somehow him getting a board seat and selling PS5s has led to the stock quadrupling Ophir Gottlieb (FinTwit guy, CML Pro) just put their latest top pick, ONDS. 5min later the stock gets halted up 30%. I bought some ftr
WSB is in charge of certain stocks right now. I’ve seen Tesla purple mattress game stop palantir. Just get in on whatever they’re pumping for the day for a quick dollar.
I was doing swing trades until early December. This time I plan on holding for a long time. Valuation is only at $3.5B. Lots of upside still
I signed up for it back in March. They’re undefeated at this point. The quality of analysis has gone down big time, but there’s a whole army of goons just trading money upwards to each other. It’s part of my thesis why there’s a correction coming in the next few months. The clowns are beating Wall Street right now.
https://www.reddit.com/user/DEEPFUCKINGVALUE This nut job has had millions in GME for a while now. I think he made a $2m today.
It was way better in March. It’s just memes now. I don’t open it, I just have it on my feed to see what stock they’ve taken hold of. Wait till you see what their inside joke acronyms stand for.
Yeah, I'd be down for following some sort of summary account on Twitter but I'm not sifting through that shithole on reddit.
If it was that long ago, it was probably a shorter, easier password since people didn't use great ones back in the day and most sites didn't mandate good passwords.
I sold out of most of my mutual fund positions in my Roth IRA. Was gonna add to my ETF positions and also purchase a few new ones. Then I figured I could add a few single stocks since I don't have any in my account. What are some long, long term stock holds for a Roth IRA? Microsoft? Apple? Amazon? Intel? Citrix?
I remember having 400 bitcoins in my wallet to procure party favors from Silk Road back in 2011. What a disaster lol
Probably the first three and not the last two. My bet is Amazon has the highest ceiling from here. Microsoft is the safest. And Apple could go either way depending on what they do with the billions of cash on their balance sheet. Intel is struggling to get the 7mm done. AMD did it and is already on a 5mm. Intel is probably a valuation trap. I haven’t kept up with Citrix, which is funny because that’s the only one of the ones you mentioned where I know people that work there. From what I know, if you’re going to play Citrix might as well play a higher flyer elsewhere.
I spent days trying every combo of passwords I would have conceivably used. I'm concerned I accepted some auto-generated password when I created the account.
