Anyone get the High Republic book/comic book? Read comic #1 this morning and was curious. Going to start reading the book today I think.
I wanted to start the last two days but I could take my attention away from the insanity in DC. Will start it this weekend
Saw that rumor a few days ago and wondered how he’d mesh with “traditional” Star Wars. Obviously there’s the Favreau link, but he could be a candidate to be in Taika’s movie since it’s supposed to be unlike any Star Wars before it.
‘Loki’ Creator Michael Waldron Tapped To Write Kevin Feige’s ‘Star Wars’ Movie As Part Of New Overall Deal With Disney
I hope he isn’t going to be Thrawn like I keep seeing. I’m pretty confident it’s a bullshit rumor, just saying.
Finished Clone Wars. Those last four episodes are so good and really tough. Team Ahsoka/Rex. Fuck Yoda and Windu for fucking up in every possible way.
I was never really a Yoda fan and didn't like Windu in the prequels, but I didn't think it was possible for me to get as mad at cartoon characters as I was at the end of s5 at the two of them over the Ahsoka stuff. And they only got worse from there.
No kind of there at all. 99% of Anakin's problems were because he was a pussy ass bitch to him, from 9 years old and up.
Lucasfilm Games set to announce a massive open world Star Wars game, in addition to the Indiana Jones game (developed by Bethesda) that was just announced as well. https://www.wired.com/story/lucasfilm-games-star-wars-ubisoft-indiana-jones-bethesda/ Branching away from EA makes me very happy.
Fair point, but just the idea that Lucasfilm/Disney will not continue with the EA exclusive partnership is a good thing. Four games in eight years is a joke, especially when you consider that: 1) The first game was just a watered down call of duty with no single player mode 2) The second game was just what the first one should have been, hamstrung by the horrible pay to win controversy when it launched 3) The third game was fine 4) The fourth was little more than an expanded version of a mode from the second game, so bare bones in content they couldn't even bring themselves to charge full price for it Basically, they developed two games in eight years, plus recycling one and detaching and slightly expanding a concept from another. To be clear, those four games would be fine if there wasn't more to go with them. Lucasarts used to license Star Wars games out to basically anyone with a good idea for a game set in the universe. I'd like to go back to those days, when Star Wars was in the hands of as many different developers making as many different Star Wars games as they want. Having it all in EA's cold, sterile hands just doesn't work imo. Star Wars should have games in flight sim, arcade shooter, platforming, racing, RPG, MMORPG, strategy, etc. Then again, games have gotten so expensive and even the arcade-like action games (like Squadrons) have ridiculous budgets and have to sell a stupid amount of copies to justify their existence, it'll probably never be like it was in the 2D and early 3D days. Games aren't so simple anymore unless they're made by indie developers.
I agree I'm glad to see they are now working with other developers. I'm not even sure who I would hand pick to make one at this point outside of some of the Sony owned studios. But definitely glad it isn't just up to EA anymore. They suck. I didn't even think Fallen Order was all that good.
Get the LucasArts team back together... to have them hand pick some good youngsters to dev some new games under the LucasArts banner again
Just give me a GTA-like Star Wars universe where I can sell spice and run over random humans/gamorreans in my speeder.
Yes. And I've love a port of the classic arcade game. HD remakes of Rogue Squadron 1-3 would be *chef's kiss* too.
I highly enjoy Squadrons. So what if it’s story mode is a nonsensical extended tutorial. I still get to pew pew pew tie fighters and make bombing runs at star destroyers in multiplayer and that’s all I’ve really ever wanted in a Star Wars game since the XWing and tie fighters PC game era
