they’re ok, I’d rather just have Popeyes if I’m going to have fast food chicken because I like punishing my asshole.
Not had Feddy's. But I've sworn my sword to house Culvers. So Freddy's can fuck off. (Freddy's is on the wrong side of town and my sources say their fries suck.)
And if you’re going to Freddy’s you need to get the Chicago dog and curds. Their hot dogs are legit. Curds are solid. Custard is good. Their burgers aren’t very good at all and their fries are meh.
My wife gets the fish and chips. Their fish is great. Crispy and not overly greasy. Plus she always had a piece leftover for me.
Never heard of Culver's until I moved to Michigan Saturday. I now live within walking distance and have read 7 pages on this establishment. I have my first 5-8 trips mapped out due to this thread.
My kids love their corn dog kids meals but they’re not a big fan of ice cream. I love the free scoop you get with a kids meal as we have probably 20 of those coupons I keep using for myself.
Got Popeye’s for lunch on Easter this last year. Ordered a 12 pc family meal or something like that. Get home, open boxes, like 30 biscuits and no chicken. The guy in front of me got double chicken, I got double biscuits.
Culver’s is much better than both Freddie’s and S&S. That said, at least where I live, S&S >>> Freddie’s.
Remember that it’s a fast food place. Then lower your expectations by about half and then it should be solid. I find that hype surrounding in-n-out makes people forget that it’s just better than average fast food and most people are usually disappointed the first time they try it. It’s still fast food.
Agreed. I mean, Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich is very, very good...it lives up to the hype. But it's not fast food. It's slow af.
They are building one of these like a mile from my house. Gas station MacDonald's or gas station popeyes where my only choice before this for fast food near by
The only fast food that has lived up to the hype that I've had was Popeye's spicy chicken sandwich and basically all of Chic-fil-a's menu. Otherwise it's usually disappointing and that included In-n-out. I have to assume Californian's beef consumption is generally low quality if INO is supposed to be a burger mecca.
That's his point. It's a really good fast food burger and that's it. Expecting it to be more than that is where people go astray. I like In-N-Out. It's among the few fast food chains I'll eat at because I want to and not just out of desperation. But I will not wait in a ridiculous line for it and don't recommend anyone else do it. It's not worth it.
I don't really ever order burgers at fast food places because yeah they're almost universally disappointing.
