Oh, well I wish he’d either quit that shit or segregate the songs into genres. Britney Spears, Nelly, and Jack White should never be played in succession.
Sorry I should have been more clear. I meant some sort of supplement like C4 or something. I read a couple articles yesterday that mentioned the benefits, but it seems like it just jacks you up with caffeine so not sure if people on the board here would vouch for C4 or say its a waste of money. I typically do a good stretch and down a Nespresso before I ride, but don't really do the warm up rides because I just fit my "main ride" for how much time I have to do a ride.
Yeah was proactive on mine that was supposed to arrive today. Supposedly just a one week delay so the 21st is the date now. Will gladly accept that as they took $200 off so not too bad.
there was a question if it was going to be all disciplines, glad to see it is. I’ll try it out today excited.
Damn that is shitty. My experience was relatively smooth. Got the automated one week out last week. Got two additional ones this week for the order and wasn’t sure if those were automated so reached out Tuesday. The lady got a hold of the inventory team and not everything was ready for delivery but they were supposed to get another round of shipments in yesterday or today. Didn’t come yesterday to allow for the order but then got an email saying the 21st was the new date and they were taking $200 off. Hopefully that means the date is solid. Hopefully you get more off than that with them dragging on. Probably just trying to be certain of a date though.
Was just wondering about this yesterday. Now that I’ve been trying to be more strict on doing warmup/cool down classes it will be nice.
The stacking is excellent however it’s annoying that many of the strength and core classes don’t sync with Apple Watch. Did they mail it in on the band classes? Seems like you could do a lot there but they are all too easy.
Disappointing that’s not available in the phone app. I would love to be able to set up a plan on my phone and then go do it on the bike later, but this is a good start.
First stack in the bag. it was alright but weird that you still have to press continue to go to the next class and then start. thought they would just roll through.
that’s my issue too. I guess it saves the time of looking for it but like you said it automatically starting would be great. After the first class I didn’t realize you had to hit “continue stack”. I hit end class and it didn’t realize it would not go the next class.
Just noticed a small bump on every other pedal stroke this morning. It's extremely small and I could probably live with it, just hope it isn't the start of something bigger. Has anyone experienced an issue similar to this?
I'm good with it in case you are changing from bike to strength of something. Maybe need a shoe change or to refill water. It's super fast to the next class when you do click. I went from bike to a longer 10 min stretch and thought it was awesome
Check your cleats first. You want those bolts super tight. If that doesn’t fix it move on to the pedals. See if you can isolate it to one side by pedaling with just one leg. That’s where I’d start.
Hit 1000 minutes today. A couple things. Not sure what you headphones you guys are using. But just got the Powerbeats Pros for Christmas and shit they are the best. Truly wireless and sound great. Were only 150 on Apple about 100 off. Did a low impact ride today but kept everything under 45 so it worked great as a recovery ride.
I really wish there was a way that KJs could account for weight. I have a friend that weighs 100lbs more than me and the discrepancy with rides is pretty large.
It is. I just want a way that it could be compared considering someone weighing 275 puts way more output out than someone weighing 175 based on resistance.
Anyone use any non peloton bikes? Wife has done spin classes in the past and is possibly interested. The 10+ weeks and comments ITT definitely not good
As a fellow lightweight I feel your pain. Zwift and other platforms display watts/kg as it’s a better measure of performance on an actual bike.
I’m biased, but it’s worth the wait IMO. Yeah, deliveries are a mess right now, but once you have it I highly doubt you’ll regret it. Very few people do.
I have not. Are you thinking about getting another brand of bike and using the Peloton app or just going with another bike and ecosystem altogether?
Personally I wouldn’t go in that direction. Peloton has the resources and user base that allows them to invest in the best music, coaching talent, software and hardware. It’s a pretty expensive purchase and you want to be on board with a company that’s going to continue to reinvest in their service. The others that I looked at seemed like poor imitations. Plus, you either already have or will have friends and family that have bikes. The community aspect is real - take this thread for instance.
Some people need the community aspect for accountability and to push them. Others don’t. I think it’s probably why some people really enjoy CrossFit and going to a box, while others enjoy just getting after it in their own home gym.
there are a couple that use different bikes one who uses a cheaper version. Look up “cheap peloton version” and there is a website that lists everything you need to set it up.
I’m extremely introverted and it’s the perfect community for someone like me. Live classes are awesome. This thread is awesome. The whole experience is amazing. People think it’s just a spin bike but it honestly has every type of workout you need to get in great shape. Peloton currently offers 2 free months on the app. Download it and check it out so you see what it’s all about.
Biking outside is a blast For a non peloton alternative, You could always get a nice road bike then for indoors get a trainer setup + zwift app like all the good triathletes do
