What should a Thomas H Handy realistically be going for? Saw one yesterday but I’m honestly not sure what’s a good price for it. Based on the other prices they were charging I would imagine it’s too high. The blantons was 150. EHT barrel proof was 400.
Yea I think it was. I’ll ride back by tomorrow and inquire a little harder if still there. I kind of wrote it off bc I don’t drink a lot of rye and I’ve been thinking back on it today. Thanks for the feedback
Had to buy a gift bottle for a client today so ventured into the liquor stores- got him the Alberta Rye. He was pretty happy with the gift However I randomly bought this: Anybody had? Thought it looked neat so said F it
I’m so calloused at this point. Buy the W12 for $60, sell it on the secondary for $165, but the Blanton’s off secondary for $100. Boom, $5 and a free Blanton’s.
uuuuuuh, YIKES! That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. edit: not a knock on you or even the people selling them. but the people buying at that price? dumb dumb dumb.
The next bottle I send you is going to be a blend. I'm titling it "The Legent of Black Kentucky Hills XO"
Joke is on you. It is a one of so I can list online for infinity dollars since it is so rare it isn’t on wine searcher
I tried the 13 and it is amazing. Drinking it right now. It is really vanilla creamy upfront, but finishes with a nice rye bite.
Interesting, I just figured it was like Clyde Mays releasing an older version of the same juice each year.
Blended doesn't mean it is bad. Here is a very good review. https://whiskeyconsensus.com/widow-jane-the-vaults-aged-15-years-review/
