He will just refi with someone else or have the saudis pay it. I doubt he loses assets to foreclosure but he will definitely continue to be cash poor.
He used to treat this place like his own bb.com forums and tried to post like they do over there, so he was just trying to be cool
He was also either active military or a recent vet and had almost certainly seen combat and had ptsd. He should’ve capitalized the S and ND to make his name easier to understand. SamarraND. Weird guy for sure but I always felt a little bad for laughing at him.
Yeah. He talked his dad out of the pebble mine thing in alaska because of its potential to destroy the #1 salmon fishery in the world. There’s been a number of other things he’s stood up for. By all means I am not calling him a die hard or even good environmentalist.
Those are accomplishments that if were more highly publicized would lose him the support of the Trump base.
Standing up for the extraction of one resource from the environment instead of another does not make you an environmentalist.
Nah I mean you can give credit where it’s due. Pebble isn’t just about salmon fishing. It’s about ruining pristine habitat. He was a big reason that got killed, as much as I hate to ever give them credit for anything.
Trophy hunting to over compensate for tiny dick syndrome is probably one of the better things Don Jr does w his money, as far as the good it does.
This could legit be my favorite part of Trump getting kicked off. The convergence of "companies should do what they want" and "Its illegal for this company to silence conservative voices" is :chefskiss:
I love that this will personally hurt him so much Every outgoing president since Reagan has received a farewell ceremony from Pentagon ... until Trump Spoiler For the last 40 years, the Pentagon has seen each president out the door with a farewell tribute. In 2017 that included a salute from a military band, a review of troops, and a long line of military leaders stepping forward to praise President Obama. They thanked Obama for the care he had demonstrated for the troops, for his strategic thinking, and for his work with NATO and other allied military organizations. Pentagon leaders also surprised Obama by awarding him the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service … which had the added bonus of pissing off Sarah Palin. But Palin and the rest of right-wing media won’t have to worry about any inappropriate medals being handed out in 2021. Because for the first time since Ronald Reagan took office, the Pentagon is skipping the whole thing. Donald Trump is not getting a military farewell ceremony. As Defense One reports, Vice President Mike Pence is off deliver weekend remarks to a group of sailors at a Naval Air Station, then he will drop by Fort Drum to extol all the achievements of the last four years to a group of soldiers. And that’s it. … no military farewell is being planned for the commander in chief. It’s not clear if this no-ceremony is not being held by the Pentagon’s request or whether Trump has put the military on his hate list for failing to fly in and fight on the side of insurrectionists. In past years the ceremony has been held ahead of the date on which Trump’s beloved “very special” people stormed the Capitol, so it may just be that Trump was too caught up in coup planning to get around to this event. After all, what’s the point of scribbling down a farewell address if you’re never planning to say farewell? Whatever the reason, troops will be relieved of having to stand to attention one last time for Trump. Which doesn’t mean that they can’t get together for an impromptu Good Riddance celebration.
Nothing negative. Rinella has had a major impact on the public perception of public lands and ecological protection. He's made a lot of people who were anti-environmentalism ten years ago care somewhat about conservation. His show being on Netflix has done more for "wildlife politics" than a centuries' work for nonprofits.
Shot: Trump leaves office with a minus-31 approval rating. Chaser: He's 12 points ahead of George W Bush.
When one is renewable and one is not there is certainly a side where 100% of environmentalists reside on the issue.
When you get a well reasoned dude who can do a good job articulating the best arguments to people on both sides, you've got a great advocate. That's Rinella. Like, he's a dude who can get conservatives to back off resource extraction to a certain degree and get like vegans or vegan friendly people to be cool with eating meat.
Idk if I’d call it a good thing. Imo it’s immoral to hunt something you’re not going to eat for sport. However the money raised by trophy hunting goes to toward conservation to upkeep habitats of endangered animals, funds anti poaching squads ect. Ifs kind of a lesser evil that does good in the macro sense. I still don’t like it.
he could always just donate the money to those causes, ya know, instead of killing animals for sport?
When I said trophy hunting was one of the better things he does w his money, it was an indictment of how big a POS he is, not a compliment to trophy hunting
There was a dozen+ line outside of my local gun store when I drove by last weekend so I think they're doing fine
There’s an ammo shortage because of Covid-related manufacturing pauses, and people are losing their fucking minds that it’s a government thing.
i have a few stories I have been meaning to post from the last few weeks but one of them is that I found out in October that my mom bought a handgun for home defense because she was scared what the democrats might do if trump won in November. I’m still trying to decide how to bring that up again after last week. they killed their own, so maybe by being wrong she was right?
I can stretch to understand the loon who figures societal collapse is on the table and stocks up with a box or two of bullets, but what are you doing with tens and hundreds of thousands of rounds? how do people see that scenario playing out is always my question.. I have a couple of uncles who are semi gun nuts, not completely obsessively gone, but hearing them talk about ammo was probably not far off from hearing two currency traders banter about the markets. actually thinking about it they're toast, but somewhat saved from themselves by the fact that they're not online
