McDonald's is launching new sandwiches next month in an effort to win fast food's chicken war.

On Monday, the company announced three versions of a new chicken sandwich, which will be available nationally on February 24: The Crispy Chicken Sandwich, topped with pickles and served on a potato roll, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which adds a spicy pepper sauce, and the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich, which comes with lettuce, tomatoes and mayo.

 

Seems like McDonald’s should just stay in their lane on this one

From the commercial I saw, Wendy's didn't start the chicken war. But they're ending it!

 

Interesting, bc they seem to be pretty good bargains. They have them half off at a certain time every day

 

I don't think it'll rival either, but I'm down for more options.

Jack in the Box has one now that is decent. Not remotely in the same league as Popeyes but I don't regret eating it.

Not that interesting a fountain drink with a few added syrups would lead to good margins.

I mean honestly if I'm buying coleslaw from a fast food joint, I'm just gunna go ahead and assume it might be a little fermented

Tried the Spicy Chicken Sandwich for the third time recently. Best one yet. 9/10 at the least.

 

Had it for the fourth time on Sunday. Still great.

Went to the rolled taco shop next door and picked up three carnitas taquitos to compliment it. Quite the Sunday.

 

I would say that Popeyes regular and spicy were better than regular chick fila but spicy chick fila is bringing the right heat for me.

Were there different levels of heat? May need to up it at Popeyes next time if so

 

You can get the spicy mayo on the side and then add as much as you like.

 

I had it the other night and the wings were tinnny, but very tasty

 

I’m telling you guys... Spicy, extra spicy Mayo, no pickle, no bun. Try it. All that bread gets in the way.

 

It's a sandwich so I'm going to go ahead and keep the bun. And the pickles too.

I already have 3 spicy chickens in my life. Wendy’s, Popeyes, and chick fil a. I don’t have room or a need for more

 

Me and some buddies ordered $60 worth of Popeyes chicken sandwiches during the Chiefs game on Sunday. None of them had tried it yet. They were all thoroughly impressed. Great sandwich.

 

I have not had this sandwich yet, think I will rectify that situation for lunch today.
