Yes I basically had a day of covid sx, but I know colleagues who took the vaccine and never had covid and felt shittier than I did
Update: My wife is kind of a mess tonight, but she’s also kind of a baby when she’s not feeling well. Headache, lethargic, stuff like that. No fever, but she’s on Tylenol round the clock right now.
May be a little easier in Florida moving forward. Desantis limiting vaccine to FL residents only effective immediately.
have we discussed the new South Africa mutation? Seeing some concerning things about it from some science folks
Pfizer hasn’t published, but is in process, of testing the actual SA varient virus with NIH. SA CDC used actual virus and found that. I am concerned a bit, that said, the vaccine will still have tremendous benefit I believe.
Can confirm the anecdotal sickness when getting the shot in close proximity to COVID. Got shot #1 11-days (I think) after initial symptoms and really mild COVID course. Legit thought I was going to die 24-hours post shot and was okay with that considering how sick I was. It all resolved by 48 hours post shot.
It appears that Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine protects well against the variant first discovered in the UK.
Last two days of Trump era in AZ: -1 deaths First day of Biden era in AZ: 262 deaths way to go, Joe #failure #duceycooking
Freaking finally, my obsessive checking our county's health department website paid off. They posted that they wouldn't have appointments to book online until yesterday at 9am at the earliest. I've been obsessively checking since then and finally caught them right when the posted time slots just now, my wife was able to book her appointment. Her, her mom, and now hopefully me will all have our first dose before the end of the month.
She posted this later. Didn't read, but it's the only article she posted (not re-tweeted) https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...-vaccine-trials-in-next-step-to-conquer-covid
I hope we see some concrete steps to get this vaccine out immediately. I think I saw he said 100 million vaccinations in 100 days.
Yeah sorry I posted that and then forgot about it. Went through her timeline and that one that's posted above is what I saw.
I think you will see a lot more funding and federal support for getting the distribution done. He said he will be invoking the DPA to get production done. Fauci thinks 100 million in 100 days is absolutely doable. Especially if we have the AZ and J&J vaccine approved in the next few weeks like we expect to
my mom got the vaccine today at a kroger in dallas ga, and my dad got one last week in rockdale county. had to drive a ways but a big relief for both of them.
Seems like asking Amazon to get priority first. Scratch (or poke, I guess) our underpaid employees’ backs and we’ll help with some logistics after.
Makes me wonder if some significant catalysts for deprogramming the 70M brainwashed Americans will come from celebrities and influencers like him. For the average chud, the words of a politician are often just white noise.
Took the first Pfizer dose this morning. No changes yet. I had a mild to moderate case back in late June. I’ve also heard that people who have had it in the last 90 days have more side effects? Don’t know if this true? MORBO! how is the wife feeling? I’m a little nervous about the second dose but I’m also a pussy. Did she have the virus before?
She seems to have eased off most symptoms but she’s been whining all day. She’s at like 36 hours at this point.
I have gotten both Pfizer doses now. Always get my yearly flu shot because of work and have never had issues/side effects. As far as I know, I haven't been COVID positive prior. First shot - No issues whatsoever. No arm pain or other side effects. Second shot - Had arm pain, but I think it was more due to the delivery of the vaccine itself (injection location). She really put it up high on my deltoid by the acromion process. You should be putting it into the middle/lower part of the muscle belly. That same evening, early in the morning, I woke up at like 3AM with fatigue/aches and just not feeling right. I was able to go back to sleep and went to work the next day. I definitely wasn't 100% and it had felt like I had lifted/exercised really heavy the day before. Symptoms were gone by the next morning.
seems like blackmailing the government with their logistics abilities in exchange for vaccinating their employees quicker
