Had a buddy in college that collected pipes, bongs, etc. He liked to display them so he always cleaned everything after a few uses. One night I packed a bowl that he forgot to tell me he literally just cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. Took one big hit, and that sealed the deal for me I’d never bother with cleaning again lol. Luckily, there’s a hipster vape shop nearby that sells bowls for $5. So I’ll get a few that last forever for $20.
I had my first pipe for 20 years. Best pipe I ever owned. It was solid glass, about 7-8" long and had a wide bowl with carb. Paid less than $10 for it online and had it shipped to a PO Box because I was scared shitless of shipping it to my residence back then. I bought it from some online retailer in Canada for "tobacco purposes" of course. Felt like an international criminal during that ordeal. Finally broke it last year while cleaning it in the bathtub. Don't clean glass in the bathtub...that is something I have recently learned. 50% isopropyl + rock salt + hot water shake will be the cheapest effective clean you can get. Buy a pipe that's clear enough that you can tell when it's gunked up and don't wait too long. Also make sure the openings are big enough to fit a wire brush in so you can hit the stubborn spots.
I put all my gunked up bowls in a box just in case. I haven’t needed to smoke res in years, but my younger days were so lean I’m like a street dog that was rescued who still dumpster dives.
This is TMB and it’s 2021. We should be talking about the other type of resin. Hot water every few days does the trick. As soon as the bowl gets gunked up it gets rinsed. I have so much home grown I never cash the bowl any ways so loooook at me!

My roommate freshman year was a slob who was perpetually broke. He'd always be in his room trying to scrape a little resin out of the bowl. The Wana blueberry indica gummies from Skymint are fantastic. I pop 40 MG as soon as I get home. Then smoke a couple bowls. Then later pop another 20-40 MG and another bowl. Sleeping like a baby
Edible high is completely different to me than smoking. It's all couch lock and ZZZZs for me with edibles. Flower doesn't do that to me at all, even indy heavy strains.
Also those nerd ropes are probably "medicated" with distillate and isn't going to give you the same head change that flower would
I like to feel enlightened and creative when I blaze. Some indica overtones are nice too but that's not what it's all about for me
