How specific do you get in gear preferences for your favorite teams? For Gamecocks: I like black over garnet if both are available. I always prefer "Carolina" to Gamecocks, South Carolina, SC, USC or any other iteration. I want to buy some Carolina Panthers or Carolina Hurricanes gear, but I want it to say CAROLINA in big letters. Most everything says the team name though :/ Come on, people want to have some local pride.
Under Armour kinda sucks tbh, so that limits a lot of my gear interest for the Cocks specifically. Feel like it’s gone downhill since 2010ish. Nike > Under Armour by a million in terms of fan gear
I agree Nike > UA. I can find a lot to like from UA though. Maybe partly because I go over to the bookstore and look at the new primo shit in person. Sometimes with UA you have to "embrace the ugly" and get the shirt with a different color back or whatever. It grows on you if you just get it and rock it
In recent years grey has been worked in as a common color for PSU. Unless it's a basic t-shirt or something I'm not about that. Just keep it blue and white.
I usually stick to primary team color base, or a heather gray or white, with a single logo. I prefer little or no text if possible. I don’t like black for teams that don’t have black in their color scheme. Most of the teams I like have a yellow or gold secondary color so no thanks on that. Same with hats.
I generally like my gear with retro logos. Tech-always black with old double T. Dallas stars-black with the old state outline logo. Mavs-green old logo. Etc etc.
Will Lakers ever go back to normal uniforms? I don’t understand the need for white jerseys or black trim on the purple jerseys
I lived in AZ as a kid when they moved to Phoenix and loved the original uniform design. These ain’t it.
I was a big fan of them in their expansion years. All I can think about when I see those jerseys are Keith Tkachuk and Nickolai Khabibulan.
I think UNC and NCSU should be forced to use Madison Cawthorn script for their unis as punishment for what their state contributed.
Louisville's had some other crimes against humanity too. I remember some red pants. What Cornelius Suttree 's boys do with those black pants with gold pinstripes is pretty disgusting
There’s a high school in the sticks of Hillsborough County called Strawberry Crest that recently ripped off the UofSC interlocking SC. I’ve always thought that was an elite baseball logo.
Adidas seems to roll out a template for a jersey design and then give it to a group of their teams. They did it with these, and the MSU/TAM ones posted above. This also happens with basketball.
Loved the old Colorado Springs Sky Sox CS. And the old sock logo. The shit they changed to is so bad.
