1 down, 4 to go :( Today’s game was very competitive but that one guy royally fucked up. also, I’ll never understand why people in last with no chance to win risk it all during final jeopardy. That last cost herself 2nd place by wagering all of her 5k
gonna suck. Are they just starting right back up on Monday with Ken? I think I saw that Katie Couric is gonna get a run as well.
Has anyone been watching? How is this guy today a 6 time champion, when the Asian guy (brian) has been on all week?
are you sure you aren’t watching last nights episode? they had someone on who had been winning but because of covid restrictions he couldn’t continue so he finally was able to come back. pretty sure the asian dude lost
Thanks. I missed last nights show, but was confused at the end of today’s when they said this guy was a 6 time winner.
Something about he was the champ before the virus hiatus, was not able to travel after show resumed, and once he could travel they stuck him back in against Brian. It was said both would be in the following tournament of champions
Eventually yes, but I’m quite enjoying the Jeopardy Triumvirate on The Chase and would like that to continue for a while longer
I didn't think Ken had the charisma or gravitas to pull it off. The first couple episodes with him seemed to confirm that to me. But I admit, he's been pretty damn good and has changed my mind. Upon reflection, I think I would've had that reaction to anybody who hosted the first few shows without Alex. I'm fine with Ken getting the gig.
Agreed, first episodes were a little rocky, as expected. But he’s been solid. Not even sure what other realistic candidates are available.
I think a part of it was also that the clues and everything were written beforehand for Alex; his cadence, timing, and wit. So Ken is trying to read them kinda like Alex. If he were the host and they were written for him, it would probably be more natural sounding
Family members tell 8 News Now that Smith died following complications after surgery. His parents thank everyone for their thoughts. They’ve started a memorial fund in his name dedicated to “furthering the educational aspirations of Southern Nevada Students.”
Caught up and last week some gal in 3rd place bet almost all of her stack. They all got it wrong and the top two covered each other in wagers. Had she bet nothing, which is what every 3rd place player should do, she'd be a Jeopardy champ. As always, I'm amazed at how poor these very intelligent people are at game strategy. For example, a player is sitting at 7500 late in Double (the leader is at 14000) and they snag the Daily Double. Then they bet 5000. Why wouldn't you just commit? Get it wrong and it leaves you 2500 and no chance. Get it right and you're still trailing. The number one key to winning Jeopardy is to have the lead going into Final. Yet these people do it all the time. I guess the fear of not making it to Final because you're in the hole is a real thing.
Doesn’t the show help them with their final bids? I thought I read that in here once, but it’s possible I made that up. Regardless, it’s infuriating how bad some people are at betting
Ya that was awesome. I’m still stunned that Tim, an alleged attorney, didn’t know the daily double that lawyer’s are also called esquires. Not sure he is a real atty
