Anyone familiar with "self cleaning" toilets and if they are worth it. Doing a big remodel and never want me or the wife to have to clean a toilet again.
just an FYI I have att fiber and you have to use the stock router. (edited for error) You have to Jury rig it in order to use another router that turns it into a passthru but it’s never the same as having a better router.
According to Garner’s Modern English Usage (2016) Current ratio (jury-rigged vs. jerry-rigged vs. gerry-rigged): 71:38:1
You’re conflating google searches versus actual published usage in press releases, periodicals/ journals, and other written media. Comparing the google trends of regardless and “irregardless” over the past 5 years shows a non-zero number for the non-word irregardless. That doesn’t make it right. There’s a small window where it’s even more googled than the correct word. There are times when new ways of living necessitate new words and new meanings (like sending someone a “snap” or a “tweet” would make zero sense in 2001). But taking a 4-500 year old phrase and changing it because of 5 years worth of google searches seems a bit much.
Garner's is biased toward formal language, so obviously informal terms will suffer if you use it as a reference. Google trends certainly speaks to how common a term's usage is, which was one of the pillars I originally listed. The term's been in use for over a century, in addition to its relative popularity in google trends. I'm not saying it should be the only term used, but I think the ship has sailed on correcting people for using it. Irregardless is obviously a word. Sure, you can argue it's redundant and inefficient, but it clearly is a word. And that distinction seems important given the context of this discussion.
Succumbed to Instagram marketing and bought the chirp wheel for my back that has been bothering me since working from home. Anyone have these and do they work?
Just get $15 foam roller... when your back still hurts in five years, you’ll feel better about the purchase
So while we talking printers, what's a good one just to print random crap for kids school or something for work here and there?
I typically go out for espresso and use the press at home. The machine was old and just wasn’t that great anymore because I don’t take care of things.
This is a half gallon of Secret Aardvark. It’s a thicker smokey tomato based sauce that goes great on everything. Spice level is probably 4 out of 10.
$40 from Amazon which equals $5 per 8oz bottle. Secret Aardvark website will give you 12 bottles for $72 (including shipping). I should have spent the extra $10 to buy from the maker.
edited: https://remarkable.com Kinda an impulse buy. I'm constantly taking/losing notes. Seems like it could be worth it... I'll either hate myself for spending $550 on this or be very happy. There's no in between.
Used to be a notebook guy but then transitioned to onenote and am much better organized. I understand that's free and not as fun, but I can't imagine how mad I'd be the first time I went for that little device to find it had a dead battery.
I'm not a hat guy, nor do I recognize that design - but I'm a big fan of their materials/construction
