Good question here. How many bottles does everyone have? 30 bottles between scotch, rye, bourbon, and Japanese. 6 unopened.
I have way too many. Haven’t counted in a while, but it’s over 100 for sure. I need to pay closer attention because I’m sure some of the bottles that are 75% empty are getting a little oxidized
3 total bottles of booze. Blantons that is almost gone (wife's favorite bourbon), a Stagg Jr that I'm mowing through, and a bottle of Tito's. Also have a 6 pack of Hopslam and a 4 pack of CBS.
I've kept mine steady at around 30 for the last year because I'm trying to get through a bottle when it gets quite a ways down. Usually stick on it for the next few pours.
I haven't found a store close to me in Michigan with anything worth buying. They either don't have anything good or want too much for everything
I have a stocked beer fridge and also always have some titos, vermouth, gin, campari, and aperol around.
That’s a solid, manageable amount. Mine got out of hand unintentionally just with new fall releases, literally like 20 store picks, and a handful of gifts/sample bottles
I take my cheaper shit and mix it together in my decanter for cocktails. Once I finish off my bottle of Bakers I'm going to use that as an infinity decanter.
I'm in an Airbnb until April 1st then move into an apartment. I'll be heading home for 2 weeks in April and will load up for the next 6 months. Unless someone knows of a good store in or around Muskegon, MI
My opened count is inflated because I love keeping at least some of every seasonal release I ever get: Bookers, ECBP, Little Book, MWND, Larceny BP, etc.
35 opened and 65 unopened. I have a penchant for Russell Reserve store picks. Only 4-5 of the unopened bottles are meant for a special occasion.
If I lived down there I would probably be at 200+ by now. I hate you for having The Bottle Shop. They may be the top store in the state
Have a buddy who I had try McKenna in June of 2020 for the first time. Had no bourbon then. Now dude has 78 bottles including some really great bottles. Life comes at you fast.
I have to practice restraint in there for sure, but you have to be Baseballman86 level to reap the full benefits of that store. They get shit I never even hear about.
This is true. I wasn't even counting your bottles, but you have your own little section in my cabinet now.
Rough count of 71* bottles. Those that are unopened are because they’re on deck behind their respective batter that’s in the box *Mix of Scotch, Bourbon, Rye, and Cognac/Armagnac. I have vodka, rum, gin, and cordials for the peasants but I didn’t count those.
It happens. I was around that number before the move. Gave away my opened bottles and sold the unopens
If someone offered me $200 to drink this bottle and I had a year to do it, I don’t think I’d take it.
Hi yes I have more bourbon than I will drink I went to Kentucky on Tuesday and didn’t stop anywhere cuz I gotta get rid of bottles
Yes, I am doing a renovation of my bar area so I can have more space for bottles. Over here with a buying problem. Hopefully some day I can start meeting with friends again and drink this stuff.
bourbon bottles was first load going in once we got our new house, we have a 6 month transition so its a bit easier
In hindsight, I should have stored my bottles at a buddy's house. I didn't trust my BIL with them (they're renting our house) and I wasn't about to haul them 10+ hours with me
If we were going to be in one place I would've boxed mine. I sold my unopened bottles for way more than anyone should pay so I can't complain much
134 unique bourbons and ryes. 160 total bottles including duplicates. EDIT: Upon review that includes 8 bottles that are not bourbon or rye (or American whiskey) — 6 bottles of Foursquare rum and 2 bottles of Japanese whiskey.
