This is one of those cases where both sides are right. They should call witnesses, but it won’t matter. People that know Trump are guilty don’t need another shred of info to back up the truth, and there isn’t enough evidence in the world to shift people who support Trump. At best, it separates a few more life long Republicans disgusted with what the party has become, but this is all a zero sum that reinforces what smart people already know and keeps morons shielded from what they don’t want to or care to believe.

the best argument for calling witnesses that goes beyond actually carrying out a true fully fleshed out impeachment is that the republicans were so clearly bluffing by how they talked about witnesses and were terrified about how the calculus changes once you start getting people testifying grab some of the capitol police up there, call everyone involved with the delay in sending troops, on and on
