Artoo's almost childlike love of the franchise is endearing. He's like a make a wish kid just happy to have "that dude who played Captain Typho" come visit his bedside.
I finished watching clone wars a couple weeks ago and it was great. Started up rebels and I’m like 5-6 episodes in. Rebels isn’t nearly as good as clone wars so far. Does it pick up soon?
Cool. You go ahead and continue watching them and picking them apart and getting irrationally angry about them. Like Sith I'll just watch them peacefully and enjoy the cool stuff that I like. Like a Jedi Master.
I was same. It felt small and underwhelming at first coming out of the much more epic ending of TCW, but it picks up. It is not as good overall IMO but gets better as you go and I am glad I watched it.
I had the same thought as you when I binged through it last month. And yes, it gets better. By the end of season 1 they kind of figure out the characters. Season 2 they start throwing more people in the mix and have some awesome episodes. Seasons 3 and 4 are both very good, IMO.
Finished this morning. 8/10. Twas good. Each book sets up more interesting questions to be explored. Feels a lot like the early new canon books. Hopefully this time we get good payoffs. Not relying on the movies for it makes me more hopeful we will
Can we make a thread where we can discuss the details from the books? I’m getting into the heart of book 1 and would love to discuss
it's not even losing her role on Mando, she was obviously a popular character but it's not like she got equal screen-time or something, what she blew was the spinoff series, which Disney apparently had all but greenlit before she opened her dumb mouth after the election. her pay on Mando would have been peanuts to her own starring role. not to mention she's so toxic now she will likely never work in the business again beyond low-rent action films (I'm calling it now, she's in the next Seagal movie). if she got the spinoff series she'd have commanded more attention and more money for film work as well. her social media probably cost her five million if it cost her a buck. brutally fucking dumb.
I’m just going to say it...if she’s the type of person they cranked out, maybe Alderaan got what it deserved
We all know Alderaan's not sending their best. Their sending racists, transphobes, and Rebels. Some, I assume are good people.
definitely worked when they cancelled nike and starbucks this dumb bitch will probably get her own show on fox news now tho
Good news for Gina, btw, she made a lateral move from on the cusp of starring in her own series in the greatest franchise in history to... making some film project with Ben Shapiro.
Do we think they recast the role? Seems like that almost never happens, but without Grogu (in all likelihood) next year I'm assuming they were planning to lean on some of the established characters like her to pair with Mando.
Her role in Season 2 was minimal compared to Season 1. I think the show can move on without that character.
The show loses nothing at all by just moving on and forgetting she ever existed. In S3 Ep 1 he could run into an old bounty hunter friend that could join as his new muscle. And this one might actually be interesting.
Mando: What happened to Cara? Greef: Shot in the back by some scruffy looking nerf herders who were upset she told them they couldn't cross over some impoverished farmer's territory during their monthly migration. Mando: Damn, what a rough way for a legend of the rebellion to go out. And she was never heard from again...
I don’t think the timing works out, but I’d laugh if they replaced her character with one of the Tico sisters
