If I never finished 2018 spider Man does that impact playing miles Morales? Just trying to figure out what to play first once the console gets here that will properly introduce me to ps5
I’d didn’t get anything from GameStop. It just showed up and my son ran to the door and yellef “they are here” and I said “well tell them to go home were in a global pandemic”.
Was really excited to have it all day tomorrow before 3 straight shifts at the hospital starting Tuesday
I did enjoy it but just ended up .. like a lot of games as a parent of 2... Stopping it in the middle. One thing that did sour me a little were the Arkham Series elements like perching and swooping down scenes. I grew soooooo tired of them in the Batman games that I just didn't have fun with them in the SM game. But the story and web slinging were great. I was a few hours in just never finished.
Probably could watch a let’s play to finish the story, it was the best part. I stopped pursuing the random neighborhood crime as it got the most repetitive and you don’t need all the little metacurrency just to upgrade your gadgets that work just fine to get you through the game at level 1.
TrustyPatches you got the Bloodborne platinum right? I’m going for it now like halfway through the chalice dungeons.
I played Control over the weekend. Really fun and cool game. It wasn't as hard as other games it reminded me of, but there definitely were times that I was dying all the time and it pissed me off. I still have to get the trophy for using 100 skill points. When I was looking in options to see how many I had spent, I realized you can turn the game onto basically 'easy mode' where you get one hit kills and can be indestructable. I kind of wish I would have known that for a few of the spots I was trying to light up rooms with this dark thing killing me all the freaking time. I lost all my currency on one of those levels.
about 5 hours into last of us part 2 i really enjoy it. very sad stuff at the beginning. still working through seattle. really easy to get sucked in
Didn't realize you could use an easy mode. I haven't needed it yet because I've almost fully upgraded my health, energy and launch. Once you get the launch upgrade where the energy bar refills while holding objects and lets you throw up to 3 at a time it gets a lot easier. I normally launch at multiple targets then blast whichever one had a shield with pierce and repeat until their down and if there are any random rangers attacking me I seize them and let them help me fight. The exploding flying ones are helpful when seized because they do a lot of damage.
I usually play after the kids go down and my wife disappears into the bedroom to watch some show I have no interest in.
Curious for those with ps5. From plugging it in to playing something how much time? Just wondering if you spend the first 4 hours doing updates or whatever.
What are updates? It’s pretty much instant. I do have 500mbps hardwire connection so that helps. But even when it goes from downloaded > installed, it’s a blink.
Started off playing God Of War, had it for ps4 but for whatever reason it dropped off my radar and i didn’t put any time into it. Having a hard time prioritizing games. I know I’ll play the shit out of The Show once it comes out in april so thinking Demon Souls is my #2. open to suggestions
I've gotten them from a site called eneba which looks like sketchy but the code worked fine. Came across on a kinjadeals Twitter feed. https://www.eneba.com/us/psn-playstation-network-card-psn-365-days-usa-psn-key-united-states
I just use the base gun and shotgun. I couldn’t figure out how to use the other guns. I maxed out Heath and energy before touching any others. The levels where it’s dark and you had to turn on the lights were brutal for me. That and the jukebox quest where you had to clear the four islands. I died on it seconds from winning several times before finally beating it.
What is everyone’s thinking on when I can get a digital without having to stalk Twitter, this thread and a bunch of retail sites?
