Cool item, also probably a bit rare. The internet tells me Liska was a bullpen catcher. Can't imagine he was issued many jerseys.
Also for anyone else wanting Series 1 let me know. Looking to sell all I’ve got my PC Cards and have tons of others will sell cheap.
Probably. Market is crazy high right now. His Hall of Fame is in May 2021, so that could increase the value, but now is a probably a good time just because of the market
So following this thread, I have a bunch of top shots, but not any paper cards from the last 20 years. What’s the best way to buy them? Do I have to eBay?
Yes you will pay a little more, Facebook has a bunch of groups for cards but they have become a shit show with everyone bashing people’s prices and new people asking questions and they get shit on instantly. If you are after any certain players I just got back into the hobby 2 years ago so I have tons of new stuff.
eBay or ComC. Backinblack23 is right WRT facebook groups. Just a mad house of people shitting on each other. If you're looking for a player or team let me know. I have been unloading singles on eBay but eBay fees are getting out of control.
I’ve sold almost everything I had listed in Top Shot for at least a 25% profit after fees. That’s after being purchased in the last two weeks. Anything of value now, I’m holding other then the Lamelo which is way overpriced. The first series Golds are the way to go if you can get up to them. It’s just a matter of time when commercials start showing up on NBA games or NBA players start mentioning it on Twitter that even crazier money is going to start coming in.
If you're looking for team stuff, I'd honestly recommend finding a breaker or two you like and just going that route. Singles you should 100% do ebay.
I'm intrigued by this new grading company. They're getting shit on, and rightly so, about a McGuire card that got a 9.5 with an obvious soft corner. Really like the color matching label.
Yeah I’ve been after Griffey’s too but his prices have taken off lately and I’m not sure if I want to pay the premium right now.
I'm after more base and random inserts than 1/1s, as I mentioned in here before. Herbert and Kinlaw from this years rooks. Dallas Cowboys, South Carolina gamecocks, and Atlanta Braves otherwise. Brees, Rodgers, mahomes, kelce. I have a wide variety for my PC. You guys keep the autos and low # inserts lol. Let me lighten your load though
Cool looking slab. I wouldn't slab anything that isn't psa or Beckett, and I only do those because it adds value, not that I think it's perfect
As soon as the grading nonsense slows down business wise they're going to start listing the actual size of the card and all the nitwits are going to pay to reslab everything.
It's Project 2020 but with a variety of players IIRC. Bunch of artists get to make their version of a card/player, and they are for sale for like 48 hours. Once that time frame ends, no more will be printed.
It’ll be the only time I’ll actively try to purchase a Babe Ruth so I’m happy with this. Also it’s cheaper than anything on Top Shot
After buying a membership with 15 vouchers in October I'm finally sending my psa order in the mail tomorrow. Also did a 2nd express 4 card order with cards too expensive for my vouchers. Did a mix of cards I'm going to hold onto with some ill immediately flip to help fund my addiction.
Yeah, the grading market isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Cards are becoming mainstream and you're now seeing a bunch of athletes/celebs getting into cards. Money isn't an issue so they're going to want the PSA 10s, BGS True Gems and Pristines. As Kendrick Perkins would say "if it ain't a PSA 10 I don't want it"
Yea im mad I didn't send more stuff to psa, because that's the market now, graded stuff. With the $20 tier shut down its so expensive to grade at the moment. I'm just happy I bought a PSA membership with the vouchers before they canceled that, or the cards I'm sending in for $250 or whatever the membership was, if I wanted to grade now would have cost $750 to grade since they only accepting $50 tier and up now
I just got into the TopShot game. Don't know anything else about cards/memorabilia. Just seemed like a cool idea and a time to get on the ground floor. AMA.
I mean, PSA has been notorious for grading trimmed cards and having issues of their own. I'm willing to give HGA a chance on a few cards I wouldn't mind graded that I have no emotional investment in. I'm not gonna knock a start up that is being transparent.
