Holy shit, I just had to lookup Curiosity's date to make sure I didn't misread this. That does NOT feel like 10 years ago.

That’s a few years old from Curiosity, which doesn’t have any microphones, so the sounds have been added. Here’s a new HD pic from Perseverance
Some people are soooo fucking smart. Can't comprehend the amount of neurons firing that went in to making all this shit happen.
NatGeo channel had several episodes last night re the clean rooms that they used to develop and build it. It showed them hand drilling holes to what they originally thought were unattainable tolerances. Not NatGeo but interesting

Clea Duvall was one of the people who made me realized I'm into women who are clearly lesbians and that it may be an ongoing problem in my life aaaaaaaand I was correct.
I liked how the Nasa engineer spoke like a normal person explaining things. "The rover arm is in a tucked position. It can drill and do a lot of science things. The HazCam's are just like a backup camera on your car." I think being able to simplify and explain things in basic terms makes science a lot less intimidating and will encourage more and more people join STEM.
I realize it shouldn’t be surprising, but it kinda was when I saw that the rover’s top speed is .1 mph
