Can you go to breweries and buy beer to go in your area? That’s pretty much the only way I buy beer now so that’s when I get glasses or shirts. Hell that’s also how I buy all my coffee(Spindletap coffee company).
Did Hopslam change, or did I? Finished a six pack over the past couple weeks and it was just boozy/medicinal. Never could get to the point of "ah, deliciousness" with it. Giving away the second six pack I bought to some younger folk
Its always been that sort of oversweet booziness to me, but that certainly wasn't uncommon when it was king of the IPA world. I still prefer a bitter hop bomb DIPA over one like that, but of course the proliferation of NEIPAs has changed perception of what the standard of what hoppy beers can be.
It has been a few years since I've had hopslam but I was not blown away by it by any means. It is wayyyyyyyy overhyped
Beachwood BBQ and Brewing has a cellar sale set up selling a bunch of their stuff that they can’t use for special events. Picked this up:
Ok, the BrewDog Hotel is pretty awesome. I also ordered a tap which is like 10-11 pints in addition to the shower beer pack my wife got me. There's also a fridge of visiting beers that are for purchase. You get a free beer when you check-in and after 7 is free beer and cookies. And free breakfast in the morning #blessed
Degausser needs a side hustle of photogging beers for breweries. Especially since he got the new picture perfect house.
Im wondering how much abuse he has to endure from his wife as he sets up and captures the perfect pic
Going through old pics last night and came across this. Only one left, should probably drink it soon. I think I had 6 at one point and damn they are good.
pfft, he is not an amateur. He tests each shot first with a glass of soda pop and looks at the pics. If it is good lighting and background, he pulls out the beer. Can’t waste that good head pour!
I think it’s us. We’ve passed it by. I used to buy as much as I could get and now I find it mediocre. It was ahead of its time but now all of our tastes have progressed as others followed and went further.
For real though, I was never super into it. As far as limited Winter DIPAs went, Lagunitas Sucks blew it out of the water. Then they made it year round and put it in gallon jugs, and it was impossible to find fresh.
