oh poor athlete has to do such a drastic physical feat as jog the bases once a week. how will he survive
I am hoping Contreras makes a leap and is our second catcher. I don't think he will be any worse than Flowers. Rotation is indisputably better. There is still time to add some pen and bench pieces. I don't think things are near as bad as some of you guys do. We are going to be really fucking good again.
A healthy Oz all season would be huge. Hopefully Ronnie cuts down on Ks. He still has so much room to grow, which is crazy.
yeah I have high hopes for both of those guys to make a leap. Ozzie has potential to be a 10 time all star and Acuna has a couple of MVPs in him.
Very annoyed about the lack of a DH this season. Looks like Soroka would probably start on time if not for that.
could be a solid bench bat you’d certainly want him at the dish late in the game instead of Neck’s corpse
Can’t wait for him to come to the plate in a big situation for the first time so we can start the Lamb chop.
Yeah. This is where we are. Real teams are signing actual pieces and we're a REIT first so on the scrap heap hoping to find that balance of cheatest payroll possible while being just competitive enough to keep fans coming to the Battery but at the point we'll never win anything
3B is dick. We don't have a back up catcher. We don't have a full pen. We're about 40 million below last year's salary. We're probably on par with last year, maybe worse, and everyone else got better
The exact apathy ownershit is striving for. Well beat most anyone, but never really truly be a contender for anything of substance
Agreed. I’m ok with our pen but we need one more arm. The Lamb signing is a step in the right direction. I like Kipnis. If Camaralago could not be an absolute bum that would be great. Is Alex Jackson that much worse than TFlow? Worse yes but I don’t have to see TFlow’s dumbass face and his dumbass glasses.
There's really no fucking reason AJax should ge starts. We should trade one of our two catchers, but AA is a fucking coward
Do you really throw someone into the fire as a backup catcher or just waste their time sitting on the bench instead of playing in AAA games?
Lamb was actually good once he joined the A’s in a small sample. He can’t hit lefties but he wasn’t signed to. Jason Kipnis is a consummate professional.
You can tell pitchers and catchers reported last week by the temperature of this thread and I fucking love it
35 seems low. I the last two years he's played full seasons he's started 80-90 games. He's 32 now. I'd imagine our back catcher is going to get 50-70 starts
